We took the ferry over to Russell for a look around, and a casual lunch. The outdoor seating is great, and overlooking the bay. My husband ordered a beer, which was good, and I ordered a glass of wine. The glass of wine turned out to be about 1/4 of a glass, and was very mediocre. Once we looked at the... More

Very good service let down by tiny portions and food lacking in flavour. My hapuka special was over cooked and small. Good location that is perhaps suitable only for drinks.

Delicious meal spoiled by surcharge. No mention of this until paying bill. When questioned waitress pointed to small note under counter. Nothing on their street signage. Not happy as on investigation found no other businesses charging surcharge!!!!

Fantastic meal - delicious octopus, and amazing beef rib abs fries for two. Really service and location too. A real treat.

We went there on our honeymoon to have a special meal and were pretty disappointed. I had the Hapuka and my husband had the steak. The food OK but the portions were tiny and it was very overpriced. The service wasn't very good and the waitress made a snobby comment. On a positive note, the mojito I ordered was very... More

This has got to be the best restaurant on the Bay of Islands. The food was excellent and the service top notch. It is a lovely well designed quaint restaurant and well worth every penny we spent.

The food is very expensive and what I would consider average. It is a lovely spot on a sunny day over looking the bay and watching the many boats and ferries come and go. The waiter was very friendly.

This is a good restaurant for a group. Located at the quieter end of the Bay, overlooking the beach, it's a reasonably small, quiet restaurant. The food was good, although quite expensive. Service was a little slow.

Nice food, great staff, great views. We also adopted one of the waitresses. Very good steak, very good recommendations for fish and wine.
