This place is cool. Great service, nice location and excellent Japanese food. They also have a take away option.

Great little spot I found off the Main Street while away on a business trip in oamaru. It was nice and quiet with great background music. I started with some beautifully presented fresh salmon sushi. It came with top quality wasabi (not the watery stuff from Korea) and fresh ginger along with a few bonus glazes on the plate. 5... More

The salmon sashimi was fresh and the entrees we ordered were were delicious, service was good despite getting busy. Had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend and would go when I visit Oamaru next time.

Arrived in Oamaru late afternoon on a Tuesday, and shortly after began looking for a place to have dinner. The CBD mainly had greasy spoons and takeaways, and we could not find a restaurant that was advertised in the folder in our motel. Walked past the Midori, and decided to try it despite my reservations about some Japanese cuisine. Had... More

We had lunch here. The place is great! Beautiful, clean and tidy. Foods were served fast but the taste is average. Staff is friendly but bcuz of her first day, she couldn't answer questions about food but willing to check with kitchen for us. :)

We haven't tried the restaurant side yet, but we've done the takeaways side several times. Quick, convenient, and tasty! Probably a slightly healthier choice than other snack foods for my son...he is a fan of the salmon rolls... I like the veggie ones and their chicken katsu on rice is a guilty pleasure.

A first time for me here but my friends had been before. New decor is lovely, fresh and relaxing. My chicken and rice bowl was very tasty although advertised on the menu with an advocado salad, it was explained it was unavailable. I also had prawns as a seperate dish, all very filling. It wasn't anything to rave about, but... More

There was no-one in the takeaway cafe, so I had to go across to the restaurant to ask for someone to come over to serve.(This has been a problem on 2 previous occasions!) So while I was doing that I lost my place in the queue and had a long wait. Very annoying. By the time I got served, the... More

I love coming here when I crave Japenese! Great for the family or just the 2 of you. Lovely atmosphere and they are also currently renovating the restaurant. I recommend the Japenese plum wine and adore the vege sushi. I would have given 5 stars but on a couple of occasions we ordered something which was on the menu but... More
