Let’s start with the good things. We first visited this restaurant last autumn which was an extraordinary experience. As others stated, you cannot fault anything. The chef is really talented and enthusiastic. From last visit I still remember catfish I’m not even very fond of,...but it was so well prepared and presented I cannot get it out of my mind. We had such a good time we decided to come back as many times as we can. Things got worse now. It turned out soon that the chef was on holiday and a young lady would be preparing our dishes. At this point we were not suspicious, after all it was a professional place with professinal staff it shouldn’t matter who was on duty. We started with chicken skin as a snack, instead of mayo fresh vegetables would have been better combination. Throughout the whole evening we missed fresh vegetables, salads they were not present not even for decoration. For second dish, we got a meat ball from goat meat with apple sauce. 1 hour had passed when we got the fourth dish, bread with “skin cream” . It was not very appetising and after starting with chicken skin we didn’t long for more fat. I don’t understand why bread comes for the fourth course, what sense it makes to fullfill your stomach with white bread. After that veal tail came with truffle, the dish attracted my attention reading the tasting menu. In fact, it was a piece of overdried ravioli. No sides, no decoration. It was difficult to depict of any signs of truffle. Forgive me, if there was any. After two hours passed, we were inquiring if it was possible to serve our young kid as well. Kids always come first, but the young lady planned to serve kid’s menu in the end. Upon request he got his chicken soup and we went on eating our soup: wild garlic soup with beluga and trout. It could have been fine as well, but somehow the three major ingredients didn’t harmonise in liquid. The trout felt soaked, the beluga swank to the bottom. The major disappointment, however, was catfish this time. The fish was so greasy, it was swimming in oil and the skin was burnt. Moreover, the sidedish spinach was so salty it was burning our mouth. I don’t think this “chef-said-to-be” lady has got anything to do with cooking. She was very friendly, though. I don’t want to go into details with my son’s main dish. An ordinary housewife could have made better fried chicken breast. The highlight was my fruit salad, two slices of apple and pear with some grapes, not much fuss about presentation. My suggestion is if you go on holiday you should close the restaurant for a few days. We”ll never return.More
