Grilled local snapper was dry. I did not finish it, ir was disappointing. Battered calamari was overcooked. The chips were ok.The scallops were the only saving grace. Such a shame as the lady at the front counter was so lovely and gave fantastic service.

Amazingly fresh fish and great chips. You can tell it's good as it's very busy even on a Monday night. Great and friendly service too.

We had fish & chips tonight. Unfortunately the fish tasted of ammonia, we had to spit it out. Even the dog threw up. The last 2 times we have eaten at Maddigans & the food has been quite poor, but we thought we would give them another go, but this time they failed totally with the poor quality of their... More

This place was very busy when we went, there is limited seating so we took our meals across the road to the park to eat. The serving sizes are very large, the fish was fantastic. We recommend you phone in your order ahead if you can.

This place has been around forever. The staff are friendly and she even had a chat and laugh and that's awesome: The food was nice as it has not changed. It has cold and hot seafood.

Always busy, for good reason. Worth the wait . The fish is on display with a great variety. Some of the best fish and chips in town.

We visited several times and overall found the quantity and quality of the food very good. Although on our last visit the Flake was very tough and rubbery. The Snapper is excellent. The service is good and the girls are very friendly. We can recommend this long established Fish & Chip shop.

We always visit Maddigan's on every visit to Hervey Bay. The shop is always busy and it is always full of fresh choices. It is dearer than most seafood's around but it is worth it as chips always cooked to perfection in clean oil and fish is always tasty. Who could resist freshly cooked fish & chips over looking the... The good: nice walk down the esplanade to this fish and chip shop. Good location directly across from a park in which to eat your fish and chips. Big serves. Chips okay. Prices were reasonable. The not so good: fish was very greasy. My choice of flake may have been wrong for this region as it was chewy and had... More
