Stopped in to have a look but the prices $50-$80 each is way over the top. The shack is in a nice beach side spot.

Had read about Nins Bin and found the prices much more reasonable than the other crayfish seller a little further north, and the staff much friendlier . However, the pull off into the parking area from both directions is dreadful. Deeply rutted and with potholes...More

I would have thought that the local frays would be well priced at this location but $170kg is a bit on the nose

We went to give Nin's Bin a try as it is mentioned in multiple travel guides. Yes the food prices are steep but the crayfish is fresh, meaty and sweet. It is the scenery and location that really makes Nin's Bin an experience worth the...More

We stopped here after years of wanting to. It did not disappoint. Large crayfish and the lady explained how to eat it. It was simply delicious with yummy fries in the side. Well worth the price

Worthing buying crayfish even though expensive. Fresh is the key word. Unadorned and served to you at tables next to beach. Mussels also available although we didn't enjoy them. No dressing either. Cray was wonderful and happy to have spent $140 NZ, for two cray....More

Description
Nins Bin was first estabilished in November 1977 as a roadside caravan selling fresh local crayfish. Still to this day it offers just that, right next to the beach for an ulitmate New Zealand experience.Only a 20minute drive north of the Kaikoura Township, it is a perfect stop off point to either dine in or take a crayfish away for your enjoyment later on!
