The meals were slow to come out, but were well worth the wait. Portion sizes were generous, and there was no way I was getting to the end of mine.

After having to leave our first choice for dinner due to fresh paint smells giving me a headache, we popped in here. Quick service and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. I had the seafood curry and it was delicious.

The lamb shanks are always really tasty. Was a little dissapointed there were no spring rolls available on my most recent visit as in the past they would have to be the best spring rolls i have ever tasted. Soooo fresh and delicious. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. And quick service for food and drinks. The restaurant is... More

It was to my surprise that the owner of this restaurant is an Indonesian lady and her daughter's help there too. I ordered a chicken satay with rice and a crayfish with steamed vegetables and mashed potato. Both dishes were delicious. Not really Indonesian but very nice. The crayfish came with a bowl of water with lemon to wash my... More

The food was good, just not great. Compared to our overall experience of food in NZ, it was disappointing. The evening that we were there was not busy, so there was not much of an atmosphere. The service was timely, it just seemed a bit disinterested. Overall, as my rating indicates, we found it average.

My wife and I found our way to Tutis by way of a much needed reference from the owner of Kaikoura Sportswear (at least I think that is the name of the shop) after a lot of unwanted pressure from our hotel owner to go other places. Wow! My wife and I have been in New Zealand for just over... More

As many others have said, food is good. The 2 floor staff managed well. Ample space between tables so you are not all jammed in. Not the place to go if you are on a budget. Big city prices and meal sizes. Big soup bowl for your main is a turnoff from last century. And please if you are going... More
