Great friendly staff. The food is Not really to my taste, but such helpful staff who want you to enjoy your meal and have a pleasant experience. You succeed. Stepping outside of my comfort zone, and enjoyed the challenge. Thank you Fat Camel Team. Good experience and recommending you to all with our thanks.

This cafe can be found in the well named, 'Quality Street' and serves a delicious array of Israeli food. The pita meals at around $11 are large so you might not want to go for the full plate version if you're just peckish. The service is thoughtful and friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

I love the welcoming atmosphere, service, coffee and food at Fat Camel. Fat Camel is a licensed cafe/ restaurant situated in the central Quality Street Arcade, in Whangarei's city centre. It serves a wide variety of authentic Israeli dishes, that are reasonably priced. Fat Camel attracts customers of all ages. A customer can feel perfectly at home on their own... More

This place has been a hit with locals of Whangarei since it was started. I love their menu of kebabs and also full plates, my favourite is the falafel kebab! At this place you get the most bang for your buck.

Tucked away in a little corner of Whangarei this small cafe is unassuming but packs a mouth full of flavour. We tried a few dishes shared between the group, and were not disappointed. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food this cafe is for you. Good food and good service. Well done guys.
