By far the best place to eat in town if you are into great salads and vegitarian meals. Great atmosphere, staff really friendly and teriffic little lane way, with lots of other eateries nearby. Get in early or you will have to wait for a table

I frequent the Fat Camel regularly - good vibe, service and food is always fresh and wholesome. There aren't many good food options in Whanga's (unfortunately!), but, luckily we have this one!

We were searching for a healthy place to eat and fell upon this cute little store. We had the mixed meat meal without the rice, so they offered extra salad which is nice for a change as most places just leave a gap for things removed. The food was super tasty and we will return if in the area.

My husband and I were very pleased that we stopped in Whangarei for lunch as we would have missed the tasty cuisine of this eatery. The service was friendly and speedy and our pitas, the chicken shawarma and the camel were delicious. A quiet spot to enjoy a very tasty lunch.

I dined here on a Monday night, no problems being seated, more like a café. They accepted credit cards, beer was reasonably priced at 7.50 for a Stella and the mains were a good size and mid twenties. The best bit was that it was delicious.

We just stopped in for a late lunch. The restaurant staff are friendly, the location relaxed and service was great and fast. The food - lamb pita and chicken schnitzel pita with a dolmades starter were all super. The pita was generous, and great value overall. Definitely recommend this spot!

Lots of food here ... I mean LOTS!! The portion is humongous... certainly not for people on a diet... I suggest if you are a couple... SHARE!!
