I was blown away by the quality of the food and flavours at Cullens. We went on a Saturday and it was extremely busy - we did some wine tasting (very nice!) but the restaurant was full so it didn't look like we were going to get a chance to eat here. to their credit they took the effort to... Food was good and definitely interesting. The linguine with truffles and duck egg while delicious in flavour was on the small side for my husband so at $42 he would have liked a touch more. My fish with squid ink and calamari was very nice, it could have been hotter but with the additional order of vegetables filled me up.... More

Very limited Menu which did not describe the dishes but rather listed the ingredients so you had to get further info from the waitperson. All prices were very high but portions very small. We did a wine tasting first but didn't find anything we really liked. The cheapest btl was $20 but was awful, then the rest were around $39... More

Haven't eaten at Cullen's for a couple of years, so the improvement in the food was nice to see. Wine as always was sublime!! Location and outlook very relaxing, with friendly service.

The estate is absolutely beautiful and the restaurant has a great atmosphere, decor, service... We weren't that impressed with the wine, but the food was delicious. We tried the pork belly and the marron starters and they were great, though a bit on the expensive side.

Hi IsaBarta, Thanks for your visit and for the lovely comments on our food. We certainly don't get our internationally recognised and award winning wines called average very often, but we do understand that everyone has a different palate when it comes to fine wine. Our wines are consistently rated as some of the finest in the country by wine... More

So many reviews of wineries (or anyplace for that matter) are based on the real or perceived snobbiness/inattentiveness of the staff and the comfort level of the reviewer. In this reality some places with average quality products garner outsized praise, while bad service experiences can yield highly negative reviews for excellent places. Unfortunately, Cullen seems to have hit a snag... More

We stopped here for lunch on our winery tasting day. We shared the ploughmans lunch as a starter and it was fabulous. Great twist on the classic combination with tasty gourmet offerings. Thoroughly recommended. Also - get in fast and steal more than your share of the butter that comes with the complementary bread- also superb!

Dear scc749, We are glad you enjoyed our very popular Ploughman's Lunch - a superb way to enjoy a winter's day at the winery with a glass of our wine, enjoying the view out over our resting vines! Thanks for the great review. Kind regards, The Team at Cullen Wines. More

Visited yesterday with friends from Newcastle (NSW). This new chef wno previously was in London and Sydney uses produce from the organic gardens at Cullen. A delightful menu and of course the wonderful Cullen wines. The home made fresh linguini with Manjimup black truffle and poached egg was very special. Definitely worth a visit.

Hi glyntonge, Thanks for choosing Cullen Wines to visit with your friends and sample our menu and our famous wines. The linguine with truffle from Michelin star trained Executive Chef Colin Anderson was recently featured in The West Australian newspaper as one of the Top 20 dishes in WA, so it was a good choice! We appreciate your great review,... More

The new chef is fantastic, my wife had the barra and squid which was the best meal she has had in years, i had the beef caps which was also fantastic. The wines dont need any rating as everyone know they are some of the best in the world.

We arrived earlier than our reservation time, so we took a stroll round their children's sensory garden which had detailed explanations of the biodynamic philosophy that the Cullens adhere to. It made us more aware of the care they take in wine-making and their produce - no additives but leveraging on what nature provides. The lunch menu is modest but... More

Dear LinLoTS, Thank you for visiting us, and for your very kind review. The self guided spiral garden tour at Cullen Wines is a great way to gain an understanding of the philosophies and care that go in to maintaining our biodynamic vines, vegetable and herb gardens. The ingredients would have been selected by our chef and his team just... More
