Great service, very tasty perfectly balanced authentic flavours with superbly fresh ingredients. Must have the lemon Duck and the barramundi ........ well done Gilbert! Only negative would be to see some more innovation on the deserts; red bean, lychee etc

My partner and I were taken to Lau's by some friends who have habitually told us how good the food was here and I have to say - we were definately not disappointed. The four of us were able to sit outside as it was such a beautiful barmy Melbourne evening and our friends took care of the ordering. Dish... More

What a refreshing experience, it's really nice to see service of this high standard still exists. Gilbert Lau AM (Founder of the 3 hatted Flower Drum) served us himself, taking the time to learn and use our names. A very personable and gentle man. But we were here to eat and it was wonderful! We had mud crab done two... More

This was the third time that I have eaten at Lau's for lunch on Sunday and it was as good as always. There were four of us and we shared all of the plates (entrées and mains). The standout for me was the soy poussin. It was so tender and delicate. The Patagonian tooth fish was beautiful as well. The... More

Food changes often to always have inseason dishes. Great wine list. I drink beer but my friends tell me. If you lucky you may meet Gilbert Lau the... More

Had a booking of 13 to celebrate my 30th birthday. Was a little dubious as to how it would go, but we were catered for very well. Had a set banquet menu which gave us a good range of some of their signature dishes. Service was fantastic, food amazing and well spaced apart. Were given an extra entree while another... More

Upon revisiting this restaurant after a little more than two years it remains a gem. The welcome and service is still excellent and our waiter last night was exceptional. Food remains top class. We had fairly conventional starters of shiu mai and salted squid, but they were a class above the usual, The squid was fresh and served straight out... More

Invited for dinner with friends, memories of acland street made me dubious but all that gone when you enter Great feel and busy but not chaotic Food superb and can be a reasonable priced night out to a gourmet delight Service is very good with recommendations and they are prepared to accommodate personal needs Be aware that there are "sittings"...
