U Village must certainly be the most under rated restaurant in the precinct. The food, Malaysian-fusion and a touch of hawker style, compares favourably to the more "trendy" establishments elsewhere. The selection of entrees could easily rival any yum-cha places in Melbourne. The wine list is comprehensive.

I eat here when I stay at Rydges next door. Its always just me in the resturant maybe because I eat early. Small menu but the food is good.

Serving up delicious Asian fusion food, the owner was kind enough to open the kitchen again after we wandered in after business hours. Fantastic food, fantastic service!

The food was nice but when you ask for the pad Thai ask for It to be mild if you don't like spicy food and also I lost my room key to my hotel they found it and returned it To me.

I'm a big duck fan so the idea of mock duck didn't really excite me. However I really felt like a green papaya salad (one of my favourites) so thought I's try and stay fully vegetarian. It was amazing. Not sure how they made it but it also had crispy skin so I was suitably impressed. I've had the caramelized... More

Below average food topped with below poor service... Had a horrible experience here last night, staff were plain rude and the food was poor... Not sure what has happened with this place, it used to be good.

I went to uvillage when it first opened and it was amazing back then, oh how it's changed. The food is ordinary not much fusion about it seemed like typical Thai and Malaysian food. The service was terrible. We booked for 6:30 received our entrees around 7 and then didn't receive our mains until 8pm. We where told it was... More

Good service by French guy. He didn't even write any of our orders down. Food flavoursome but not huge portions. The chicken ribs (4) were good. Soft shell crab OK (1). Crispy pork belly great. Duck legs (2) red curry great. Crispy barramundi fillet fantastic. Roti great as is the pandan cream brulee. Not a bad experience overall for Asian... More

An often overlooked gem in Fitzroy Street, St kilda. The pork belly is delicious. Food is on par with Lau's Family Kitchen around the corner.
