We purchased an $89 deal voucher and we were looking forward to some traditional French food, which we did in fact receive. For starters, we had snails and pate and for main course, Duck a la Orange and a Rib Eye steak. Dessert was a lemon merangue pie and a crème brulee. The Duck and the Pate were very good... More

If I have only 24 hrs to live, I would like this to be my last meal - love it. So quaint, so delicious and an experience you must have once in your life.... Bellissimmo....

I chose Roasted Goats Cheese, Seafood Bisque and Chocolate Mousse and very glad i did! This restaurant is very relaxed and the food traditional. Building has an interesting history too!

Stumbled across this place exploring Fitzroy. Quaint bistro-style french restaurant. Had the ribeye with bone in and it was delicious - generous portion and well cooked. The rest of the food also looked great!

Bought a Deals voucher for this restaurant as my partner had never been to a French restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service professional but fun and friendly too. The French onion soup was delicious and the Duck a l'orange delightful. I enjoyed my dessert of crepes suzette but had food envy when I saw my partners Cafe Gourmand,... More

Rocked up for lunch today and the place was closed. Booking was made couple of weeks ago. By the way 6 of us hung around until after 1pm. Hmm mm Rang the number, recording, no answer.

What an enjoyable experience! True french dining outside of France. We purchased a scoopon and that was terrific value but full price would still be worth the visit. Four of us went and not one complaint - that doesn't happen very often.

I never expected this small restaurant in Fitzroy St. St Kilda to be so good. I purchased a Cudo deal for a 3 course meal including a bottle of wine, it was fantastic value considering the meal we received. It is situated in the front of the old French Embassy (hence the name) and is a cosy place to eat... More

Embassy at 97 has lovely, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. There is a giant chalkboard with chalk and colouring pencils and colouring books available for the kids as well as magazines and newspapers for the rest of us. The food is ranging from eggs to focaccia to traditional French food. While there is no specific children's menu, the chef is happy to do smaller portions. There is no charge for baby chinos and they have a great everyday special of coffee with a freshly baked on premises muffin, for $5! Seating is bench-style and there are tables outside: both on the footpath and in a small courtyard, meaning that you can sit with a group. Also of note is that there is a tram-stop directly outside the door.
