The coffee for free refill was awful. The bread was stone hard and the poached eggs didn’t have spices or sauce. Salty bacon. The service was very Slow.

When staying in St Kilda some 5 years ago, this was our favourite spot for breakfast. Don't know if it has changed hands but we revisited this morning and were very disappointed. The table was dirty after a cursory wipe over and we waited ages...More
Always lovely food and good coffee. However, unfortunately also always slow and rude staff that ignores you. Even if they would say ‘I’ll be right with you’ rather than just ignoring your presence. I understand that clearing the table is important, but is it so important...More

Good value hole-in-the-wall cafe with a small al fresco area. Very friendly back packer type staff. Reasonably priced, good value tasty food. Quite interesting interior. There's lots around here and you can do far worse than il Fornaio.
