Dogs Bar is Melbourne's oldest small bar, located on the leafy surrounds of Acland Street in vibrant StKilda. Off the main tourist strip, here you will enjoy a very local vibe with artists, models and accountants mixing with the world to create Dogs Bar's iconic feel.

With a classic European interior, an extensive range of wines by the glass and bottle along with Australian Craft Beers, the Modern Australian menu accommodates all of these elements with a range of shared food, mains, desserts and cheeses.

Drop in. It'll be fun.

Good Location and great food but service not so good

This place has good food and is in a good location. The atmosphere is quite nice especially as the sun is coming down over St Kilda. The only issue is the service, the guys serving are not so helpful and not so polite. Its a self order place and the staff don't like to service you from the table... read more

Loved the atmosphere, very friendly and safe feeling and the venue buzzed when the live music started. Was taken by a local and met the owner - we are going back tonight for more

Good food and atmosphere! Meals are well priced and service is good most of the time. I would come here more often if only they have non smoking area.

We stumbled across this great little venue on our way home, and stopped to have a wine or 3. Vowing to return the next night for dinner. We did just that, I had the salmon Linguine & hubby had beef cheek ragout, great value at $20 and a glass of red thrown in, we soon got chatting to a great... More

Well it's been awhile since we've visited but it is still as good as it was when it first opened 20 plus years ago. Food basic but flavoursome and a decent price.

I have had some terrific times in the Dog's Bar, so I write the following with some reservations - it's good, but so many things about it aren't. For example, the wait staff change (a lot), the delivery against the menu changes (a lot). Simply, there is no consistency. It seems to me this place just can't work out what... More

Have been attending this venue for years and was pleased to hear it recently got new.management to revive it. It's a great venue for meeting clients for drinks.or.even just a coffee. Food has always been reliable (fresh and tasty). Look forward to seeing what they do with the menu on our next visit

They were so uninterested in me ... those drinks. Felt like they needed a little more love and a lot more imagination.
