Bendigo’s Best Kept Secret! Bendigo District RSL is a fully licensed venue with a large bistro, function rooms, gaming room, sportsbar with TAB and al fresco areas. We’re open from 9am-1am Sunday to Tuesday and 9am-3am Wednesday to Saturday. We offer regular dining specials, live music on a Friday night and run a courtesy bus facility on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings. There is ample parking and wheelchair access at both entrances. You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the venue, but it helps! Our members receive discounts on food and drinks, entry into our regular competitions and promotions, eligibility to participate in our Thursday night members draw, use of the Tennis Courts and much more…join today!

Big Parmi's

Big Parmi's is exactly that. Big meal with chips, unfortunately I'd say the chicken comes in pre crumbed and tastes a lot like the ones you get at Woolies. In saying that the meals are good and large, service is friendly, drink prices are average. Worth coming to. Only issue is trying to get staff to understand you whilst wearing masks.

Hi Joe, Thanks for your review, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your meals and our team gave you great service and we'll pass your feedback about the parma's on to our Head Chef. The COVID-19 state requirements regarding masks have now changed again and so members & guests are welcome to attend the venue without a mask, hopefully this change remains and we can all stay healthy & safe. The meals are leg and great.

The service was very friendly, and the meals were large. 2 of of our party had seniors roast of the day and it was chicken and veg, it was like half a chook with veggies I had the Sweet and sour pork with rice, it was beautiful and enough to fill me. They had a special on banana splits it was old fashioned and large. On of the best RSL's that we have visited.

Needs a bit more TLC

Made an infrequent visit for lunch on NYE. I had the whiting fillets. Couldn't help but feel it was industrially prepared fish. A bit dry and lifeless as were the chips. Salad was ok. At least their winelist has been somewhat updated with a better selection of reds. Perhaps something like the RSL burger would have been a better choice - at least it looked largely assembled on the premises. As a venue ro relax and have a drink, it still rates as a pretty good place to go to.

Disappointing

I was very disappointed with my meal, Calamari salad, when the meal was placed in front of me I noticed it was a very small size and the waitress said to me "is there something wrong", I asked if it was an entree size, she said "no, there is 8 pieces of calamari there". They were very small, she said let me know if there is a problem. I called her over after the meal and said that I was not happy. It is a place I would definately not go back to.

Don't bother!

Wouldn't bother with this place! Had a great experience booking a table over the phone. Staff member was lovely. Sadly, that's where the service ended! Venue is vast and very noisy. Menu is pretty basic. I am gluten intolerant and was able to order a meal that had a gluten free option. I went through this requirement 3 times with the person taking our order and was given a Food Allergy card. We were a table of 3. One meal arrived. We waited. My meal arrived - covered in soy sauce (which is full of gluten). The third meal was nowhere to be seen. After querying the soy sauce, the waitress (who was very nice) came back to apologise that I had be incorrectly served a non gluten free meal and that a new one was being prepared. Still no third meal. The second installment of my meal arrived. Still no third meal. We enquired about the third meal and off the waitress went to check. It turns out the third meal had been given to someone else and wasn't coming to our table. By the time it arrived, our 2 meals were finished. Food was lukewarm on arrival. Satay sauce tasted like it was straight out of a jar. Chicken schnitzel was dry and overcooked. Certainly overpriced for what (finally) delivered.

Fantastic Dining

.. Visiting Bendigo from interstate we booked in for a meal on New Years Eve .. A great decision as we had a absolutely beautiful meal. They were reasonably priced & we were served by friendly staff in a very timely manner (even though there were many diners, being NYE) Everyone’s meal was delicious & plentiful and I have to say my Mongolian Beef stir fry was the best I have ever eaten. Would recommend the Bendigo RSL to anyone looking for a mouth watering meal ..

Stopped by on way to market and very pleasantly surprised at how nice the breakfasts were for our two couples. Well-presented club with excellent staff and facilities. All of our meals were great quality and portion sizes were ideal. Highly recommend for all.

"Nice meal, Good Service."

My husband and I had dinner twice at the RSL while staying in Bendigo. The meals were quite good and we had very good service with minimum waiting times. The RSL looks like it has had an update and looks really good with nice décor. Enjoyed our visit.

Great Place for Drinks

Very impressive RSL. Reasonably priced drinks, nice decor and great facilities, this place is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. The most impressive feature is the spacious beer garden, which comes complete with heaters, cooling spray and an array of classic and modern war machines. Tidy.

Went in to have coffee and cake at 11am on Wednesday,there was no cake and the muffins were still frozen not very impressed and the coffee was like warm

If you want a pleasant night avoid raffle night

Nice little club but just don’t order the lambs fry as it has a weird and unpleasant taste. Also pick a night when it’s not raffle night as the endless and very loud calling out of winning numbers is extremely annoying.

A great place for a meal

We made a reservation last minute and got a table for 4 , staff were very friendly and welcoming, food choices were great something for all our tastes, enjoyed out meal so much we returned the next night to sample other menu items, would certainly come back to eat here and would recommend as food was great

Typical Club/Pub Fare

Had lunch at the RSL during our visit to Bendigo. Good service and friendly staff but the menu is like any other club or pub. Club does have a seniors menu.

Friendly staff with good wholesome food. Service was excellent and prices were quite good. Was able to get a chicken kiev, which is rare in most bistros these days. Went twice

Worth another try for sure.

Haven’t been to the RSL for around 2 years, decided to head in on New Years Eve for a change with the Family, the visit was mainly based on trying the revamped menu, we were greeted friendly at the front door needing to comply with the COVID Regis which was good to see, signed in and promptly seated to out table, greeted by a friendly balloon tying guy who entertained the kids for a few minutes….. Meals were very well priced prompt to the able and extremely generous( most couldn’t get it all in) across all our meals, Fisherman’s Catch, Parma, Stir Fry and the Grilled Barra, everything was spot on, I also had a couple of chicken dim sims for entree which were home made and surprisingly tasty( although I did laugh a little at the jug of sweet chilli sauce!!!) I think we will certainly be back and try a Brekky and a lunch at some stage as well, and more than likely head back for another family feed, Had some country music on offer as well, which was an added bonus on the night, overall really enjoyed the whole evening.
