Went on Sunday morning for coffees and cake. Death by chocolate seemed strange, son didn't like it, even stranger and we left it behind. Toast ordered with coffees came out cold, coffees were ok but overall the place looks tired, water dispenser out of order. Maybe try somewhere else next visit to Ballarat

Beechworth Bakery always have a different flavoured pie of the month. This moth's pie is chicken kiev. The chicken were tasty chunks of meat, while the sauce was very creamy. I certainly enjoyed my pie. Sadly, they had sold out of mince pies, so we were unable to sample any. As with their date scones, they appear to not make... More

A favourite venue for breakfast, brunch or a light lunch, but, today was an early morning takeaway of a savoury scone and a large hot chocolate (with marshmallows of course) which were as delicious as always ... and the purchase of Ned Kelly pies for later, a family member had requested them for his birthday, and what better gift, they... First visit to Beechworth after hearing lots about the chain and story. Certainly not disappointed. Grab a bee sting or two

Absolutely fantastic and friendly staff who helped me with my catering order as well as later with a pie and chai latte. Plus the food was excellent! Always worth a visit!

This place is always packed and I just don't get it.. Get your own cutlery, order in a long line up at the counter, wait for a dirty table and grab it.. Nice pies sure, but people flock here... McDees gives me the same impression.. But like I said, it is always busy so I might be on my own... More

A very busy place! We had mushroom pie (yummy) and Ned Kelly pie (ok). The bee sting doesn't look very 'traditional' more like an adapted version - but was enjoyable. I tried a 'snickerdoodle' instead, which was really nice; coffee is also good. While there, read a bit about history and the cafe's owners historic trip around this great country... More

Wheelchair friendly with typical warm country service. Came here for brunch. Average steak pies (we got the plain steak and the Ned Kelly) where the crust wasn't flakey and didn't have chunks of real meat. Would be more aptly called a plain minced pie. Coffee was bitter.

If you are a big fan of beef pie and pastries, the renowned place is your answer. Try steak pie and be patient due to a big crowd

My family and I had lunch here while on holiday in Ballarat. The food was nice traditional bakery food. My chicken pie was delicious and the kids loved the iced chocolate. We couldn't leave without purchasing afternoon tea. Definitely worth visiting while in Ballarat.

Thank Anna R
