Be it brunch, or dinner or just a coffee and a chat this is a good spot with excellent views of the lake and gardens, inside or Al fresco dining available, if you're looking for somewhere with caricature this is the place.

We were there last weekend for a friends 50th birthday. The venue staff were almost silver service quality. Nothing was too much trouble. The food served (canapés) were delicious and drinks serve constantly and timely. Would recommend for a private function.

Good meal at Pipers. Got there just before lunch orders stopped. The waitress who took my order was okay, but the other one was very friendly. Checked to see if I wanted water and if I needed anything else. Lovely view, despite the rain. Lamb shanks was good.

The service was terrible, we waited over an hour for our food, and had cold meals and an antipasto platter with mouldy bread. Wish we'd stayed home, a total waste of money...

We recently visited Pipers by the Lake which is now under new management and we loved it . Pumpkin and Pea Arancini and the Beef soup was just what we needed before our lake walk. I will be back .

We went down here after checking the website - they were meant to be open under new management. They were closed. Check the website before heading down - it may or may not be correct!

I used to go to Pipers by the Lake quite frequently for hot white chocolate afternoon tea with my lake walking partner, but as we grew older and tightened the diet somewhat it had been awhile. I had also been the occasional bruncher with visitors ready to view the the lake on a sunny morning. However it had been some... More

Pipers is overpriced and over rated. No real waiter service you have to stand in line to order. Menu in my opinion were very poor choices. Ballarat has many great cafes and restaurants that are way better. I suggest choose one of them before Pipers.
