Kreglinger vintage was perfectly chilled (and fresh). Scallops and prawns crispy, and the chips we shared were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and hot! Wait staff very good. Bread to start with was a beautiful texture and full of flavour. We asked for butter instead of the oil - easily provided and with salt crystals on top... More

We visited Hallam's for my company's Christmas lunch. The entree of tempura prawns was great, the accompanying sweet chilli sauce was one of the best I have tasted. For main I had white fish in a coconut broth, the broth had an amazing flavour but unfortunately the fish was so over cooked it was really dry and hard to chew,... More

This is our first stop in Tassie and dine here with husband. Nice food. What we order is a combination of seafood platter and chip & fish seems their signature dish! I think it's because of Cod fish. The seafood platter included 12 ouster and they are yummy and fresh. Same order in each table. Nice staff but a bit... More

Over the years, I have had many good meals (seafood curry) and several not so good, eg fish bones in flathead fillets. Service is often slow.

Went here for a couples dinner. Nice atmosphere and building. Starters were dumplings and prawns. Both were ok but overpriced and incorrectly flavored. Mains were coconut broth and salmon. Both were good. It was a hot night but waiters seemed more interested in chatting and fiddling with their computers than either taking our desert order or getting us some water.... More

Pricey for what we got. Cerviche kingfish just ok, not cold enough, scallops great but tiny serve. Side salad was nice and squid only had 4 small pieces.

This is a good honest seafood restaurant on the waterfront overlooking the Tamar boat yards. Don't expect fine dining and you will not be disappointed. Wine list has a small selection of local wines, mark-ups are about 100%. You can get a half decent wine for $55 to $60. If it is a hot night and you order a local... More

I was not impressed by this restaurant. Service was slow, my fish was fresh but very greasy and others in our group were disappointed with their meals as well.

The restaurant is located near Royal Park, where the countdown party and fireworks were held! I've had their salmon with lentil, it was still pink inside salmon, and went well with the sauce! My friends had chowder and white fish with udon, they enjoyed their main! Oh yeah, we shared a starter of crispy deep fried cuttlefish, which was fresh... More

Wow wow wow! We were late into town and needed dinner so were late walk-ins to this beautiful eatery by the water The menu offered share plates as well as entrees mains and sides. We went with the seafood chowder - fresh seafood and a slightly smoky interpretation of this classic along with the scallops and grilled white fish. The... More
