This is a stylish modern cafe! The decor, lighting and use of space has been done well here. It does get very busy so I would suggest that you book. Also parking is at a premium on one side of the road 15 minute parking while the other side has 2 hour parking. There is also a tiny one wY... More

Visited here for dinner with a friend. Had the seafood basket ($30) which was tasty but no different to what you could get at a fancy fish n chip shop at a cheaper price. Friend has the pasta which was a generous serving. Not a lot on the menu to choose from though I thought, and the pricing was a... More

Great food but is extremely overpriced. The extras and coffee prices were an added surprising gouge to the pocket! I would revisit if prices were revised but would not be revisiting anytime soon.

Passing through Launceston, had brekkie, nice selection on menu, prices average to pricey. Coffee ok, prompt service & meals came out quick.

The restaurant itself is located on a lovely street with old brick houses which provides a nice atmosphere for sitting outside for lunch or breakfast. Unfortunately that was the only redeeming aspect of our lunch. A white bread sandwich with three pieces of tiny chicken for $28.50? No flavour. No Thanks. The 'Fishermans basket' (a term used quite loosely given... More

Excellent menu with good service. I did think it a little pricey, but certainly the place to go for a special occasion. Surprised at how many families consistently frequent Elaia.

Visited this establishment for the first time and was totally underwhelmed. There is absolutely no way they could exist in Sydney with average coffee, average food in small portions and stellar prices. To tourists coming to Launceston, definitely go elsewhere!

I had the pork belly special and it was delicious and a very large serve. I couldn't fault my meal but I did think the squid salad ordered by my friend was a very small serve for the price considering there was very little price difference. I would have been disappointed if I'd ordered that. For a Tuesday lunch it... More

I was so excited to find such a great little café so close to the hospital. The food was really nice, so warming on a cold day. The staff were very knowledgeable, courteous and happy.

Restaurant very busy. Orders taken promptly. Coffees arrived and meals arrived looking delicious. However hollandaise sauce, poached eggs on both dishes were cold. My side of mushrooms and friends bacon was also cold. Terrible shame.
