The staff here are super friendly and the service is great. The food is delicious - we had the yakitori and the veg noodle stir fry. Fairly generous serving for the stir fry but the yakitori is two small skewers for $10 (absolutely delicious though). All in all I enjoyed the meal but I wish it was a little more... More

Wonderful Japanese food, friendly service, good value wine. Well worth a visit, it is close to the centre of town. Seek it out.

My partner was sick and asked me to get some take away to our room, hence did not eat in but was impressed by the friendliness and fast service, would definitely come back to eat in

This restaurant is clean and well placed in Launceston city. The meals are overpriced for the food and even more so if you consider the restaurant' decor and service.

Best Japanese restaurant in town, hands down. The prices can be quite high but you get what you pay for! The fact that you can get it take away makes the deal sweeter too! Would especially recommend the sashimi platter. Wonderful service. Only downside is it's very crowded in there. Otherwise, 100%.

After a recent trip to Japan, we had been keen to try Kaizen. Lots of recommendations from Friends helped us to book for dinner a work colleague and his wife. Though the space is small, it wasn't fully booked so we didn't feel crowded or noisy - though it could, perhaps be an issue when they are chocka block with... More

We arrived to the empty restaurant at 7:30 and received an extremely warm welcome by the owner. Their bottled wine prices were VERY good value. Unfortunately the food wasn't authentic. I enjoyed the agedashi tofu and the tempura and the miso soup but their okonomiyaki was in no way authentic(they had messed up the ratios in the recipe and although... More

Restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but the staff were nice and the food was lovely. Had the kakifurai (fried oysters) for a starter, and the mixed tempura for the main. Both were great and the portions were more than enough.
