Second time to Black Cow and still the best steak I have eaten in Australia... yeah, it's not cheap, but it is fantastic and quite frankly that's all that matters. Spend $100 here rather than spend anything at a crappy hotel restaurant. The scallops in broth is awesome - don't hesitate. The steaks? Simply spectacular. I'm still full and I'm... More

My wife won a voucher for top notch restaurant. Being Vegetarian, I was a bit hesitant about Black Cow. Staff were great and modified some menu items for me. We'll be back for sure.

From the soft bread at the start to the creme brûlée at the end there was nothing to fault with this restaurant. If you don't eat steak though I wouldn't bother and the main meals are simply different types and sizes of their steaks with one fish option. Steak was beautiful and tender and cooked perfectly.

Quiet, Cosy, Comfortable, Great Staff, Excellent Food.... this place is five star. My Oysters were great, and my husbands Scotch Fillet was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this little restaurant to anyone visiting Launceston.

We chose this restaurant at the last minute without knowing too much about it. What a choice! Who knew that such quality existed in Launceston. The staff displayed all the skills expected of any Michelin-rated establishment. The meals - main and desert - were exquisite. The choice of meat cuts, whilst not extensive, provided sizes and flavours to satisfy most... More

This restaurant certainly lives up to its reviews. The food was amazing, service impeccable, atmosphere warm and inviting. It's rather quirky for the restaurant to be in a former butchers shop. The owners have very cleverly kept this in mind when doing the fit out. Have no hesitation in recommending Black Cow.

We used this app to find a steak restaurant in town as we arrived late. The service was great, the food lived up to the reviews and the atmosphere was perfect for talking.
