Visited with my wife and a 10 years old kid. Made reservation 2 days in advance, it turns out a 2 person table with 3 chairs in the middle of the main corridor. My chair was kick and my head has been touch for nearly every people pass the corridor. The quality of the steaks are reasonable but they over... More

The steak was to die for, melt in your mouth just brilliant. The sides were also delicious. Not a cheap night out but definitely value for money. Would certainly recommend it.

Well done Black Cow bistro - fabulous steak with equally personalized service!! Excellent food is always so much more enjoyable when the service is genuinely engaging to match. Thank you to Matt for your recommendations - a true professional. It was our family "treat" meal in Launceston and we were not disappointed.

Not your average "Bistro". This is fine dining, high end food with steak as the hero dish. I started with Sashimi and my husband had pork belly - amazing freshness and perfectly cooked. It was a sign of things to come as our steak mains were superb. Cooked exactly to our liking and great side dishes. The truffled béarnaise sauce... More

Well thanks for my partners work colleagues getting her a gift card to the black Cow, although we could have use some extra cash. It's all about the steak and so it should be. Absolutely beautiful. Don't expect to walk in off the street, bookings a must. Also don't expect to pay a small fee. Fine dining means Traffic sized... More

If you wish for best quality dining experience, this is the place to be. Service is excellent and the meals are perfect. For a special occassion this is a great location. Prices of meals are very high but you get a perfect meal and very professional service. Downside: One of most expensive places around town. If you do not require... More

We made a reservation for 4 person for the next day as the restaurant is a highly recommended and populated one. Our hotel is just on the next road. We tried the Wahyu Beef as it is highly recommended in TA. Excellent!

Booking is essential - we saw at least one couple being turned away, but it was Saturday evening, after all. We had steak (of course) - scotch fillet, and it was cooked to how we requested. The meat was tender and had a saltiness that we had heard so much about; being sourced from the Cape Grim area. When we... More

Booking in advance is a must for this restaurant - going on a Wednesday evening outside of any holidays you would expect a few spare tables to be around - Not so at this exquisite steak house. From the moment we arrived at the unassuming facade of the building - crowded with hopeful diners we were treated to high quality... More
