We went there for lunch today, we hadn't been to Glenelg for a meal for years. The Strand has just fabulous food. The staff and service was outstanding, even my little 3 year old grandson was welcomed. Where do you find that these days???? Keep it up, we will be back soon.
Good food, good atmosphere, fast prompt service. Whilst closer to $30 for a main, the size of the meal (portion) far exceeds expectations (big servings) and always quality. 5th visit and have never been dissapointed!
One of the classier restaurants on the main street in Glenelg but it comes at a price. Main course for 5 and a bottle of wine was A$180 which isn't cheap but it's what things cost in Oz. The Strand Cafe was heaving when we arrived on Sunday night and we were initially put off by... More
We had lamb and beef focacias from the specials board and they were quite delicious and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient and they were mindful of our time limit to get to movies even though they were very busy. Coffees were superb too.
