Having dined at The Wheel Inn on a number of occasions, it is really an exceptional pub and never fails to keep us coming back. We thoroughly enjoy the very relaxed dining, really fine wines and truly sumptuous food! The steaks in particular are outstanding, and rank amongst the finest I have eaten - even being from the Southern Africa's... More

This pub catered beautifully for my friend who is gluten free . I was really impressed with the alternatives she was given for Sunday lunch . Nothing was too much trouble . Lovely roast with lots of fresh veg, gluten free gravy and chocolate terrine ! The rest of us had the roast beef or turkey with all the trimmings... More

Early doors on a cold Autumnal Evening - Slow cooked Pork Belly with Dauphinoise Pots and Braised Red Cabbage and a classy glass of Syrah. A dish that perfectly suited the atmopshere; the season; and the mood. Well cooked, well presented, and a hearty portion. This was an honest delivery of super pub food.

We went to there for dinner and it was ok. My food came and was cold, it was returned and the waiter said it was a fresh dish but it was not- you could see the fork mark where I had tried the cold food! The portion size of the fish and chips was very small and the pea puree... More

What a great pub. We came to collect a horse, and we were early. So a small libation was in order. Great atmosphere. Lovely presentaion. Slightly on the expensive side, but it is the Vale of Belvoir! The Wheel seems to specialise in game but we did not experience it. I would love to return for a full dining experience.... More

This pub came highly recommended but the reality did not match expectations. The presentation of the food was more pub grub than gastro pub...two of us ordered the pork ballotine which arrived as a pile of mush in the middle of the plate rather than the stuffed shaped piece of meat we were expecting. The red cabbage served with it... More

How to make your loved one happy......first rate food, fine wine in a fine glass and no fuss. A very relaxed Sunday lunch in an informal rustic setting where the food quality was perfect. Excellent host who cares that you have enjoyed yourselves. We did and the experience has prompted us to write our first ever review.
