The food was typical pub food, the drinks were reasonably priced. The room upstairs that we were originally told was where our large group could sit was dark and smelt of dampness, hence why we sat outside.

We went here for lunch on a recent trip to Tamworth, and really wish we had tried a different pub. The staff were friendly, and we thought the prices reasonable, so we thought we'd give it a go. My kids had a chicken schnitzel and a beef burger, which they said were nice, and which were a good sized meal.... More

Lots of choices on menu..but as each playe came out...very noticeable that it's just chips and a lot of them...then just chuck the steak ..chicken on top...tasteless and I found expensive for what you get..a no! Never again

Best value food in town especially for visitors. Wine is well priced. Hotel is old looking and traditional but staff are friendly and food is excellent value. I have been coming her for 10 years on business trips and its consistent

Great pub food, cheap couldn't fault the meal, think it could probably be in thevtop ten. Had a really nice steak.

The staff are all friendly. The meals are great value...quite large and a good variety to choose from. It's one of those places where it doesn't matter what you order...you just want to taste everyone elses too. The seating is comfortable. I'd recommend this place.

The Tudor bistro retains its title as the best pub bistro in town. Ate there twice over four days on a recent Tamworth trip and, if it's steak-with-the trimmings you're after (or crumbed cutlets -- yum -- or a delish lamb shank) then this the place to go. Just remember to book if you're aiming to line up on a... More

Good food and nice spot to eat at. Reasonable pricing. Staff friendly. Relaxing after a busy day. We booked a table since there was a large group of us and was a busy weekend of tourists.

We go to the Tudor every Friday June long weekend and book well in advance because that weekend is always nuts. We eat upstairs and have always raved about the great value and that it is not too crowded up there. Same review this year - that is good. Meals also were great value. The condition of the place has... More

Had the steak and chips which were pretty good. The steak was tender and the chips well cooked. I paid extra for the vegetables on the side but they had been overcooked so much that they were grey and looked pretty unappealing...The staff were fairly friendly and the wait time not too bad. I would give it another shot.
