Service was pretty substandard here and the food was very disappointing. My 'udon' noodles weren't udon at all and they were all stuck together in clumps. Beer was ok but kind of overpriced.

Hello. Thank you for your feedback. We are a little puzzled though, we do not offer udon noodles on our current menu and haven't done so for some time. Perhaps you were referring to our 'ramen' noodles? These do have a tendency to stick together if not mixed properly. We invite all our customers to inform us of any issues... More

Ate at Nagisa a couple of times with a dining companion. Consistently good food and an interesting selection of Japanese and other beers, as well as sake.

I had a delightful lunch on Newcastle Harbour at Nagisa Japanese restaurant with my daughter and a friend. Japanese cuisine is a favourite so we were looking forward to the experience. I had peruse the online menu beforehand but it was still difficult to choose from the wide range. The place was busy with a wide range of clientele. Service... More

Nagisa is one of our favourites for Japanese in Newcastle. Recently stopped by for lunch mid week. The food is always fresh, tasty and authentic. I find it a great place to sit and relax with the outdoor seating, enjoying the harbour views and just savouring the flavour of the food. Have been here for dinner a few times too... More

Bought the fish bento box. The nigiri and sashimi didn't taste very fresh. Besides that the rest of the meal was nice. Very friendly staff

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the service and most of the food but we're disappointed you found the fish not so good. Please feel free to advise our staff if this is the case, and we'll be happy to sort out any problems. Our fish is sourced from Sydney daily to provide sushi and sashimi... More

My wife and I have been to Nagisa twice since moving to Newcastle. On both occasions we have ordered a steady stream of nibbles from the 'entree', sashimi and sushi roll sections of the menu (we have not ordered mains) The food is of excellent quality and the service is friendly and efficient. My wife and I have enjoyed both... More

We dine here regularly. I think my husband and son have just about had everything on the menu. The food is always fresh and the staff are most accomodating. Had a wonderful birthday dinner here. The atmosphere and decor is lovely. Service was friendly and prompt. Our food was absolutely delicious. I can't comment on the Japanese authenticity as I don't have experience, but nonetheless it was so tasty! As was my cocktail. It was expensive but so worth it for the quality of the food.
