Food was great, staff was friendly. The view was lovely and was decently priced. Would definitely recommend

Breakfast by the beach couldn't get much worse. We have dined here several times thinking it might be a once off but sadly this is not the case. Lost orders, cold coffee, under cooked eggs (and I mean almost fresh from the shell), and badly burnt pancakes masked with excessive sauces. All this and charging a beach side premium. Never... Wasn't impressed with this cafe. The coffee is bad, chips were stale, tables were wobbly and the only saving grace is the view and proximity to the beach. Everything needs to be improved if we are to return again.

Prime location, beautiful view, below average dining experience. Basic meal options priced double what they're worth & all the food we ordered was either dry or cold. Although the experience wasn't necessarily "bad" it just wasn't great or what you'd expect for the price and location. A little TLC for the food would make a big difference!

Service was great but the food was incredibly expensive given the quality. I had the vegetarian breakfast, it was ok but have had much better for a lot cheaper elsewhere. Top view though.

My wife and I had a late lunch snack (tastiest and wrap) here. We sat outside with a view of the surf club which was just as well as the food order took a very long time to arrive after ordering and was only average. The service was pleasant however, but the prices were on the dear side.

Was looking forward to a Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. We were greeted nicely and then placed an order. The place was about half full. Unfortunately our coffees took 25 minutes to come out at separate times and were not what we ordered. My boyfriend was served stale toast and scrambled eggs, while I continued to wait an hour for... On a recent visit to Newcastle for the October Long Weekend, we thought to grab a quick breakfast from the Liquid Gold Beach Cafe before returning to check out from the hotel nearby. Had walked past the cafe the previous day and it looked quite popular. Arrived about 9:00am place order at counter and sat outside at a pavement table.... More
