Pin Mill is set in lovely surroundings right on the river near Ipswich, parking is limited near the pub but there is a pay and display just before you get to it . We had heard several reviews of the place and a number of friends had been and raved about it , When we arrived the Pub was very... More

I was visiting with my boyfriend and was keen to take him to the butt & oyster as it always has such great reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed this time! I ordered the fish and chips which was very bland - I really wanted to love it but there just wasn't enough flavour. My boyfriend ordered a burger which he... More

A few years ago we stopped here for a meal and it was lovely, so on a day exploring Suffolk we thought we would try it again. We weren't disappointed, service and meal were excellent, had the lemon sole and it was delicious, would recommend and Adnams on draught made my husbands day! The coffee was good too.

Superb meal, great seafood including lobster and a very wide choice of other dishes. Worth thinking about booking as gets very busy. Fantastic location on the river and boatyards.

Delightful spot with sunny outside seating, well made breakfast & good coffee at a decent price. Will come back for a pint. Feels like a world away from nearby Ipswich. The pub has its own car park so you don't need to use the paid one at the top of the village.

We had a lovely meal here on a hot summers evening. There was plenty of choice, although one or two items were off the menu. The deserts were splendid, with delicious ice cream and meringues.

Had a wonderful dinner here to celebrate the end of exams. The restaurant is in a stunning location with some good walks near by so you can have a pre or post dinner stroll! Its also interesting for the little ones to see what houseboats look like as there are some near the restaurant. As the restaurant is right on... More

Just to sit and watch the boats passing by was lovely. We were inside, nice. The food was ok, lovely chips though. I think the pub is situated in such an interesting place that it will always draw the crowd. As with regards to the food ,not the same, sorry!

Lovely setting on the River Orwell. We sat inside both days because it was so hot and lovely and cool inside. Food was excellent, service warm and friendly. Only issue with this place is the parking. We had a big car and gave up with the pub car park and squeezed into a slot in the public car park (which... More

This beautiful historic pub is ideally located next to the river. Every time we come it's always busy. Always been able to get a table but a reservation would be recommended. Only down side is the road leading up to the location off the main road. A single track road with a few passing places and often ends up with... More
