This place is busy! Really busy in fact. Forget about ringing to book ahead, I tried several times earlier today & didn't have any luck. In fact I'm writing this review at the bar, listening to the phone ring off the hook. My best advice is just turn up, they packed as many table in as possible so you should... More

Well worth a visit, food is well prepared and cooked. Staff friendly, views brilliant. Have visited before, at lunch and for dinner.

We went on Sunday afternoon for meal for 4, the food was good would definitely return. Understand the issues with flies & dogs (we are not all dog lovers & dogs should not be on the tables) if outside this can be an issue. The bookings are not well organised we arrived early as we had late booking so hoped... More

Having not seen my Mumsie for a while due to work commitments my wife and I took her out to the Butt & Oyster for lunch (her choice). You can't beat the location especially on this warm afternoon. Even the carpark offered a space, which apparently is very hit n miss as it's very small for a popular location. The... More

We had dinner here in a group of 5: the location is outstanding, the food very good and the service friendly and charming.

The sandwiches are poor value. £21 for 3 sandwiches which were more bread than filling. Kid's meals also poor value compared to other places. Good service.

We often pop in for a drink and meal particularly if the sun is shining. It is a wonderful location. Today one of the off duty staff thought it appropriate to have his dog sit ( think about it) and then lay on one of the outside DINING tables. We thought this a bit much and when we remonstrated he... More

I brought my Mum here for a Saturday lunch and even though we arrived very early the car park was full so we headed up to the pay and display car park. Luckily we managed to get an outside table with shade and ordered our meal from the bar with ease. However, the haddock and chips we both ordered was... More

After being a fan of the Maybush we thought we would try another of the groups pubs , when we first arrived we thought the setting was very similar . That's where it ended, the pub felt dirty and the menu very limited , we had a seafood platter each , the king prawns where frozen , my pimms had... More
