My husband and I visited Redcliff for dinner while staying in Te Anau. He had the venison and I had the blue cod. Dinner was delicious! I'm guessing he'll try to recreate the recipes for the next few months. These folks have a great gluten...More
Fabulous little place we came upon during our overnight stay in Te Anua. We only had drinks but the atmosphere was amazing with so much history throughout. The menu selections were vast and sounded amazing. The restoration works were a credit to the owners. The...More
Every mouthful .... every flavour .... every taste .... absolutely fabulous. Very helpful staff and very efficient service. Great ambience and a very special place to eat! The two of us shared 4 entrees plus the citrus salad. A perfect amount of food and and...More
We ate the rabbit and venison- both out-standing. Decor was cosy and warm- quite different from the welcome received by one of the waitresses (not the main waitress), who was quite cold. Desert was also good. Shame about one waitress, as service was generally good.
Steak and meat mains nicely executed, taste and freshness of ingredients wise do not lose out to bigger towns we have been too. We enjoyed the dinner. Daughter enjoyed her Kid meal as well.
We travelled 12,000 miles from Belfast, Northern Ireland to eat at this restaurant. Well, we didn't travel all that way just to eat there! but when I knew our holiday itinerary, I started looking for places that we wanted to have a meal at and...More
Am looking for a nice place to celebrate friends birthday. The food are delicious and the ambience is very good though we got to wait for a while for our foods. Will recommend friends to go if they are going to Te Anau .
Fantastic restaurant. The venison is exquisite. Partnered with the Mischievous Kea tap beer it was a winning combo for me. Will be back in a heartbeat next time I'm in Te Anau
Had the wild hare and lamb. Meats were good. They seem to try a little hard to be "modern." It was our most expensive meal of the trip. For anyone in town this winter, today is there last day...not sure when they reopen.
