We were a bit disappointed with our sitdown meal. The room was uncomfortably cold and the food, while adequate, could have been done with a lot more flair. There are plenty of tables, but it seems that takeaways are the focus.

Fish was really good and there were plenty of choices. The chips were great on my first visit but second time round they were generic.

I literally caught a cold waiting for my meal inside the store as it was freezing cold and took over 35 minutes to prepare. To be fair we were warned there may be a 20 minute delay and I was willing to give a good review, however my chips were served lukewarm and the rest of my dish was uninspiring.

Tried their grilled orange trout, oysters and salmon steak. Really average. The batter was too salty. The salad that came with the salmon was uninspiring (lettuce, onions, tomato). This place seems quite popular with the locals so we might have ordered the wrong food.

Good feed but Over $20 for two bits of fish and a scoop of chips is pretty pricey. Much better value to be found around town. Try the Tip Top shop!

Very busy place which speaks of the quality of the food. Visited twice and very happy each time. Take away seems the busiest, although there are tables inside too. You can also get and ice cream here to enjoy after the meal!

Eating out in Te Anau is normally very expensive but we were more than happy with our experience here. Although its a little more expensive than New Zealanders might expect to pay for fish, the fish was unexpectedly fresh, of a reasonable size serving and tasty.

We had the blue cod fish and fries. The batter in the blue cod was incredibly light and crispy and the fries were perfectly cooked. Just be prepared for the wait- we waited 25 + minutes for our takeout.

Ate here twice - Reasonably priced and the fishes that we had were fresh. The blue cod tasted the best. Onion rings were delicious too. Staff were friendly. We called in to place an order the first time (we thought we could only do takeaways) to reduce the waiting time.
