My partner and I visited on a chilly May evening looking some delicious fare. And this is what we got. Having previously read about the quality of, and local sourcing of ingredients, I was immediately drawn to this restaurant. And it certainly didn't disappoint. From the moment we entered, our waitress was friendly (but not over friendly if you get... More

Went here in a group of ten people. Had excellent service and the food was plentiful and really good. The Rhubarb brulee was amazing best ever had. Lamb rack was amazing and is Merino meat. Great atmosphere. Would go again.

This place by far drew us back several times to enjoy its ambiance, good beers and a hamburger to die for. The lass from Sommerset UK working the bar was very helpful in giving us a view of all the good spots to visit and enjoy. A great place to dine and enjoy.

We ate here having read good reviews online and in guide books and weren't disappointed. We booked ahead as it looked like it could get very busy and were glad we had done so otherwise we probably wouldn't have got in. The food that we had was deliciously cooked and very tasty. The service was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Had dinner here, ordered the lamb rump. Lamb was so rare and fatty had to send it back. Waited forever to get my meal returned. Was average at best.

I have to say, this was probably the best meal I had in New Zealand other than the ones I made myself. All of the food was authentically New Zealand, organic and local whenever possible. The service was great the atmosphere was lovely the prices were great and the food was just downright amazing. I recommend making a reservation if... More

Have dined many times so was well aware of the menu and the style of service. Menu has changed slightly though since last visit. We actually visited to try their burger as part of the competition between local restaurants but was told they stop serving it at 4pm! We stayed for dinner anyway and had the Pork, carrots and potato... More

Recommended to us by our hotel, this was a stunning venue. Having booked a table, we were seated outside at the end of the wharf looking up the lake as the sun went down. Water taxis, jet boats and the lake steamer coming and going provide interest on the water while onshore the menu has a wide range of plates... More

We asked some locals for a recommendation for dinner, and we were directed to Public Kitchen and Bar. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. the service was good, and they also offered outdoor dining overlooking the lake.

Booked a table on the wharf and shared the Lamb ragout, Beef cheeks, roasted Pork belly in cider, honey carrots and parsnip in dukka and yoghurt. It was a mild evening and we enjoyed the friendly and helpful service, the good food, scenery and atmosphere.
