We went here on our last night in Queenstown, as we were looking for a really nice restaurant to 'top off' our trip. So, how does it rate? Well, it's quite a small, intimate type of place, with only about a dozen or so tables. It could be quite a romantic restaurant, if that's what you're after, but it doesn't... More

A friend recommended we try The Bunker when visiting Queenstown, so we did and enjoyed the experience. The restaurant area is small and well heated by a warm (slightly smokey) fire. We had an equally warm welcome from the host, and started with two glasses of pinot noir at the bar while our table was prepared. The menu is adventurous,... More

Had dinner at The Bunker recently during our visit to Queenstown. The Bunker is a highly rated restaurant, and for good reason. It has a very small dining room that is intimate, cozy, and romantic. It even includes a roaring fireplace. Service was pleasant and attentive, without being intrusive. The menu highlights fresh, local ingredients and it includes a varied... More

Cosy restaurant with lovely ambiance, good music and top quality food. I booked about 4 weeks ahead (for a group of 8). Communication with the restaurant was exceptional, they got back to me (via email) almost immediately confirming my reservation. I followed up and re-confirmed prior to our visit to Queenstown. On the night we were looked after by a... More

We visited The Bunker on our 5th night in Queenstown and I had high expectations after looking at the menu. After eating at Jervois steakhouse, Rata and Botswana Butchery it was The Bunker that I was most looking forward to. I also ways like to be fair with my reviews, and I think the only reason that my review does... More

We had the taste of the south and it was amazing. Highly recommend that you also add matching wine. Small restaurant with a lovely open fire and is a very romantic spot. Food was fresh and very creative.

The food was perfect and the restaurant had a great vibe. Really approachable and friendly staff. The bar upstairs is wonderful with a huge selection of cocktails made with first class ingredients. It was a little on the exxy side for some but we thought it worth every penny and will be going back if we get the chance!

My husband and I recently stumbled across The Bunker as we were wandering the streets and lanes of quaint Queenstown. We headed upstairs to the cosy and comfortable cocktail bar. The customer service was outstanding. We did not eat in the restaurant but it looked amazing. Perfect place for a cocktail or two!

Tucked up behind the Bunker restaurant is the bar, which we went to. It is fitted out as a club-style bar, with roaring open fire. We sank into the lounges and enjoyed a few drinks. A DJ set himself up and spun some tracks, which seemed a little out of place for the style of the bar. However, it all... More
