Location and contact

Funky and Friendly. Cheap and Cheerful meals. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent food and service at great prices. Massive central fire for the winter months, and an amazing rooftop terrace for the summer months or just to get some fresh air. Going strong for over 21 years with the same owner, so we must be doing something right! Always refreshing and reinventing

Having travelled a long day to arrive in Queenstown, we accidentally came across this place. The friendly staff made us feel so at home, we came back every day. Either just for a pint on the walk home, or a great meal and amazing banter...More

We waited 45 minutes for 4 out of 5 meals to come out to our table. Safe to say, the food was sub-par and did not justify the 45 minute wait. One of the meals was forgotten, even after the waiter had double checked our...More

I’ve been living in Queenstown for 14 years and I took my family who came for a visit out for drink to the upstairs bar at 9pm on 5 July 19. I ordered vodka soda for my partner and I seen the bartender spilling half...More

We had a lovely family dinner at Surreal. Mulled wine and spiced cider to ward off winter chills. Perfectly cooked steak and fish. But the highlight was the the great service from Nick. The kids thought he was great, really made our night!

Went in for a drink and lunch. Jade was attentive and the food was amazing. The rooftop has a great vibe as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for either food or drinks.

Walked past Surreal while in town and took a look at their menu. They were advertising lunch and dinner specials for $15 so we decided to come back for dinner and give it a try. We opted for the steak, fries and salad menu and...More

Great atmosphere, music not loud, big screen TVs (with an AFL game on) silent. This was a nice setting for a meal after a day out. We chose 4 tapas, the idea being if we were still hungry we would order more. Turned out that...More

We tried the steak special it was good and priced well. Overall the food was decent, however the service wasn’t great which is why I’m rating this average. Overall it was ok but with so many other good places in QT I would try something...More

Three storied bar, I usually went for the top floor for some air and to watch the sunset, that is where the smokers go so if that bothers you, reconsider. Nice gas fire to warm the centre bar area, Loved it!

Had the steak on offer, was the worst I ever had. Tiny and raw, unevenly cooked. Good chips and wedges though but probably wouldn't order any meat dishes. The Parma wasn't good either.
