Food amazing wine amazing customer service extremely horrible. Will not return or recommend this establishment to anymore. Mortified by the unhelpfulness of one staff member Jesse. What modern day restaurant won't let you itemize a bill and with its location why should sober drivers be made to pay for wine if they are not drinking. Very dissatisfied

A great menu. As a group we tried as many different things as we could. Everyone was happy with their choice. Washed down wine some beautiful Riesling and a Pinot noir. A great winery lunch. We had 3 courses, wine and coffee for NZ$80 each. That's good value.

Superb wines matched by superb food. We revisited Gibbston Valley winery restaurant whilst the ski fields were closed. The staff were excellent attentive and efficient. Our food was amazing. We started with the orange infused oil and goats cheese. Wow. We both had the best salad ever with pork belly and roast duck. The dressing was out of this world.... More

We cycled the 15 km track from Arrowtown and thought we would be cycling back. However, the ride was more challenging than we expected and our resolve evaporated when we arrived at the Gibbston Valley Winery, sat by the fire and tasted some wines before lunch. Thank goodness for the bike pick-up service. Next we sampled some cheese and then... More

We had some doubt about visiting this property, which loudly screams “tourist trap” by virtue of its size, prominent signs promoting a cheesery, and the number of tour busses parked in front. We persevered because we were hungry and were familiar with some excellent Gibbston Valley-sourced wines (e.g., Valli Vineyards). We waded through the gift shop and tasting bar and... More

Oh GVW you have lost your soul and have very little heart left. Didn't bother having a tasting as I could see lots of young staff leaving people with tasting trays and laminated notes. Bad bad bad. We came for lunch as there was nothing else available nearby. Lunch was great as was The Cheesery which bumped it up a... More

We just did a quick stop here for coffees. What a professional lovely team of people. The drinks were lovely and hot and surroundings are simply the best. Popped next door and purchased some lovely cheeses and chutneys also. What a lovely spot.

When we first arrived it was really quiet but after a while lots of people came in for lunch. We enjoyed some great wine tasting flights to accompany our delicious pork burger and lamb mains. The service was good and the prices were reasonable too. Ended up joining the wine club and buying 4 bottles of wine to take home.

Thank Toni-Wayne
