On the xxx side but suppose they have to get stuff up to peak. Full of slow tourists. View worth it.

we got to the restaurant early, they had the place packed so dinner took a little longer than usual, but was worth the wait, and the views while eating, whether day or night, the view is stunning, a must go to

We were surprisingly delighted with our choice to eat here in Rydges Restaurant. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful and curtious. We had a large group at short notice and were well looked after. The views of the lake were beautiful and the quality of...the food excellent. Definately a very relaxing atmosphere and easy to access the buffet.More

Restaurant is at the top of Rydges Lakeside Hotel with panoramic windows giving a really great view while having your meal. Good quality food and wine.

This is my 5th visit in 4 years to Rydges Hotel by myself or with the family. Breakfasts have always been great with many choices and the Dinner menu very good and steaks in particular excellent. Staff very friendly and my day was made this...morning when the waiter at breakfast remembered me from 2 years ago. Just made my day----it's the little things in life. Views certainly to die for only hope when the upgrade is completed these will be just as awesome in the new position.More

We have our breakfast included as part of the tour group. The buffet for breakfast is pretty much the same as all the buffets we have had. A full English breakfast, including mushrooms! The bread is fresh. All is good. I had one light dinner...in the restaurant, Which included the starter of beet root, goat cheese and candied nuts and a side salad. The Side salad was quite nice and a good size. The starter was quite small but very good. Bar serves food as well.. I sat with a friend that had a beautiful sandwich and fries. I would try that another time.More

Good range of food that allowed choice of continental styled breakfast or cooked breakfast with selection of coffee tea, juices. View from restaurant is amazing out onto Queenstwon Bay and up to Ramarkables.

We didn't love our dining experience here. The staff was very new so there was uncertainty about the menu, wine suggestions weren't recommendations as the wait staff was too young. The food was mediocre and overpriced for what you received. We paid $10 for a...aside of vegetables and only received 1 grilled baby tomato and a marinated mushroom -- something that comes on the breakfast buffet for no charge. You can definitely get away with staying at this hotel and not eating at this restaurant. The only thing that we enjoyed was the breathtaking 180 degree view of the lake which is why I can give this an average rating.More

We had the breakfast buffet. It was very expensive and the selection was very limited. The only item that was well done and good was the coffee.

This is a hidden gem in Rydges. Most of the tables are on the front window with spectacular views of Wakatipu. The food is of an incredibly high quality and the staff are really lovely!!

Like the title says, just an average restaurant. There was no stand out meal or menu choice here for me. I ate at much better places in the heart of Queenstown.

We had booked for 7.30pm. What a great time to be sitting watching the sun go down highlighting 'The Remarkables'. We both had excellent food accompanied by very good local wines. Just hard to beat. To help reduce the cost of the dining experience, use...your Rydges 'Priority' card.More

We weren't expecting much but Ben Lomond surpassed our expectations. There was only 1 other table in this vast room when we arrived, and the waitress seated us right next to the floor-to-ceiling windows for a stunning view over the lake & back towards Queenstown...itself. We ordered a sirloin steak from the grill menu, and confit belly of pork. Holy hell, the meals were massive! And delicious! We were both really impressed. The jus served with both was divine. We couldn't fit any desserts!More
