The owner really seems to care about his business and his customers. We were checked on several times to ensure everything was just right. The food was very tasty - had the daal and butter chicken - both excellent. Garlic naan was nice and crispy and not sopping wet as we've had at many other Indian restaurants. Recommended and certainly... More

We went to this restaurant as we wanted something spicy and this restaurant has good reviews on tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed with all of us enjoying our meals and wine. Service was great with very pleasant staff. We would go again if in Queenstown.

I had been to this place before and this time when we went, the place was fully booked. Spoke with staff if they could accommodate us, but we were left with no option but to leave that night. Made reservations for next night. Had great time. The kids loved the food and we all enjoyed a great night!

Enjoyed dinner here, it was nice to have a curry in the cold weather. Food was honest and plentiful. The curry gravy some of the best I have ever eaten

After hearing nothing but amazing reviews about the Spice Room I had to try it out for myself. Well It defiantly didn't disappoint, service was amazing, staff were supper friendly and helpful with all the questions I had to asked. Food was incredible and service was really quick for a busy restaurant. I would seriously recommend it to everyone.

Got takeaway after arriving in town and looking for something to take back to the hotel. Reviews seemed good so we tried it. It was ready on time, and staff were pleasant – it just wasn’t particularly good. Not 1 star “bad”, just “meh” – didn’t eat it all and not because we were full. Perhaps you’d have better luck... We just had dinner at the Spice Room and wow, it was terrific! The depth and flavour of the dishes was really impressive. I just kept saying yum, yum, yum with every bite. We've been in the South Island for 9 weeks now and this is definitely the best Indian food we have had. The staff were also friendly and... More

I'm down for the week from Auckland for a sightseeing holiday, I am plain and boring and always order Butter Chicken.and have done in many many restaurants in Auckland. Was very happy with The Spice Room. Good service (helping the tourists out with best places to visit) and fantastic food! Will be back next time we come and visit!
