The most non welcoming environment imaginable. Will never return. Arrogant and clueless. Very few other options for coffee, only reason they still exist. Used to be a great spot back in the day..

Joe's Garage is a great stop for a nice meal. I popped in for a solo lunch on a sunny Friday. Upon walking in I grabbed a menu and took a seat. Great options to choose from but not too many to overwhelm you. I...chose the Gorgeous George. From where I was seated I could watch my food being made in front of me. Staff were quick to offer drinks and let their assistance be known. The place was neat which also made it a more pleasant experience. My food was brought to me within 10 minutes. Great! The only thing I would suggest is to slightly better the presentation of the meal. My bacon was hidden under the fried eggs however, this did not effect how it tasted - delicious! I loved it! Eggs, perfectly runny. Bacon, crispy. Potatoes, splendid. Once staff had noticed I had finished they were quick to take my dishes and see how I found it. Even when paying, staff were generating conversation and quick to hand out compliments. I recommend everyone visit Joe's Garage and see for themselves how good the food and service is.More

The coffee was very oily .. like the machine needed cleaning. The eggs Benedict arrived with dry, unbuttered bread. We were told they couldn’t do poached eggs!! So fried eggs were absolutely hard as rock. The bacon was passable and the tiny bit of sauce...was tasty but generally it was very unappetising and thrown together. Cauliflower bites could have been okay but the oil was tainted and tasted very old. I have just read all the other bad reviews and wonder why no action has been taken to improve this situation. Very unhappy customers indeed.More

Lovely friendly coffee shop, looked online for yet another great breakfast spot, Joes Garage did not disappoint. Quirky, great menu(not too big) and great food with a bit of a twist. Would highly recommend This is our last stop in NZ and the breakfast/coffee shop...culture has been amazing.More

Went for coffee and breakfast. Coffee is fine though tepid. Food was dreadful. Pancakes undercooked cold and tough (inedible ). Eggs rubbery. Response was “oh sorry”. Don’t recommend this place for food at all considering the good food we’ve eaten around Queenstown.

Excellent coffee busy Monday morning. Staff attentive and want to give memorable experience. Quick service and delivery.

Overpriced and overcooked food, wouldn’t go back there again. Even the coffee was average for Queenstown!

The cook needs to go. Nothing was seasoned or flavoured. All just heated up and put on a plate. So many simple things could be done to improve the dish. The side of spinach was undercooked and just banged in the microwave with no butter,...garlic or salt efc. Rolls were not glazed.More

A few times now we have been finding the food is getting pretty average so now I won't get food there. I have heard this from quite a few people now . EG Ordered the Gorgeous George whcih was OK but the bacon was very...chewy Also a scone another time which was quite hard and cold . My main gripe is that when mentioned to staff they say sorry but that is as far as it goes . Not after anything free but maybe the quality I am supposed to be paying for. And the prices are getting higher there .More

Food was average. Asked for a salad with no onion but it had onion throughout. My Kumera chips failed to arrive, no apologies were offered when I was paying. Staff were not interested in any type of service during our visit. Literally took the food...order and served it without a smile or pleasantries. No staff came near to enquire how our meals were. Very disappointed as we have enjoyed Joes Garage in other towns. Will not recommend, will not go back.More

Joe’s Garage is American-style diner serving hearty breakfast fare, conveniently located within the QT city centre. We’d stopped by Joe’s for an early breakfast, where we got the Bacon & Eggs ($19.80), comprising two scrambled eggs on toasted sourdough with streaky bacon and hollandaise sauce,...and the Gorgeous George ($22.50), which is similar but with fried potato spuds instead of toast. The food and the coffee do the job, nothing more and nothing less. The scrambled eggs are thick and creamy, while the bacon is generously-portioned and tasty. Service is really warm and friendly.More

Question: Are you looking for the best Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in Queenstown? You're in luck! If you like to eat a variety of foods then Joe's Garage is the place for you because personally I don't like pancakes but when Joes makes them then...they are out of this world and the burgers don't get started on how good they are! I think that if you're travelling and come past Queenstown then you have to go to Joe’s Garage because of the 5/5 food and Service. It’s my favourite restaurant because of the food and Service Like it's the main reason I live in Queenstown and the fact I’m too young to leave by myself but either way I would live here. Here are some of my menu highlights. Number 1: The milkshakes. It’s mouthwateringly tasty because of the creamy ingredients and the sweet flavour, plus all the different flavours to choose from including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and so many more. Hey now that I’m thinking about it you should probably have one you will be blown off the planet to a new solar system! There are many reviews saying that Joe’s is 10x better with 1 or more friends. They’re not wrong! If you can, bring some friends or whanau along to enhance the experience. In my personal opinion, when I’ve been there I thought it's a good place to talk with family and enjoy the experience of a lifetime. Trust me you’ll love it! You should at least try it because you may not like it and hey that's your choice to make but all I’m trying to say is give it a chance and trust me you might want to live in Queenstown from now on just for Joe’s Garage. Thank you a lot for reading my review and please try out Joe’s garage in town or five mile the foods good either way. Reviewed by Jaden Bird, age 11More

Made a list of places for breakfast of the Tripadvisor top rated locations in Queenstown. My view is obviously a little different to others. Really poor on the menu choice-interesting several options were served on a smashed potato. Eggs and bacon on the menu-Asked for...eggs poached-we don't do poached was the response. Scrambled or fried only options. Bacon was poor quality fatty. Room smells of food as the hot plate is central to the counter. The team-the guy we spoke with was keen, enthusiastic and helpful. The barista was up and about and energetic. One of the girls who served us really didn't want to be there. Coffee however was quite good.More

Having been to Joe's Garage in Wellington and Christchurch we had high expectations. Unfortunately this version of Joe's is decidedly average. The Gorgeous George was disappointing as the potatoes were not crispy in the slightest. The other dish included avocado which had a lot of...grey and black bits included and the mushrooms were hardly cooked. Staff were friendly and attentive though so thumbs up there.More
