So many places in queenstown simply don’t cater for vegans that well, nugget point hotel restaurant definitely have smashed it. Myself and my partner shared two vegan starters which were of a really good size and so so tasty. We then shared the meatless steak...and the tofu steak and both are so tasty and filling too. Anias (I think the duty manager?) was so lovely and warming and definitely deserves some recognition for her lovely presence and personality. Second time in a month we have been and we will definitely be back during the winter to use the spa and restaurant. Thank you!More

I've been there with my husband for holiday, and I noticed their prices are quite high. Nevertheless, I booked a table and I wanted to have a dinner there not going outside, because the place we stayed (Nugget point) is quite far from Queenstown city...center, so we just ordered food there. We ordered a glass of wine, a glass of cocktail, lamb ribs for starter, steak, and ribs for main. It was simply expensive, small amount and badly cooked. I'd rather go to Queenstown city center by taxi and eat a proper meal. First of all, the size of their meals is very small. And their main is focused on steak but they are not properly cooked. I ordered medium rare, but they gave me rare with blood coming out.. and the waitress told me why didn't you order medium then? LOL just don't go there..More

Excellent- the chef, the waitress and the good - perfect - just the best! Second time here in six months and things have definitely got better compared with Sept 2020. The current chef and multitasking waitress are just owning the show - truly hard work...is evident in the good and service which are equally to die for! Highly recommend all the dishes they are all done so well!More

Outstanding quality dining. We have thoroughly enjoyed three nights at this restaurant. The view is the best in the Queenstown region and flavours and variety in the menu make it well worth visiting. Super friendly service and delicious Pinot Noir.

Absolutely delightful, all round experience! Great venue, delicious food and even better staff, Kizha was a ray of sunshine! I had the Eye Fillet (medium rare) which came with baby vegetables, confit potatoes and I then selected the butternut squash purée with peppercorn jus. It...was delicious, melted in the mouth! I then finished off with the Dark Chocolate Fondant, which was unbelievable, perfect balance of sweet vs. bitter. Would certainly recommend this beautiful venue and will absolutely be back on my next trip to Queenstown!More

Delicious food, service and amazing views! My partner and I were staying in the nugget point hotel so went to dinner in the hotel Kanuka kitchen. We were given a complimentary fish ceviche taster to start which was a nice touch, really flavoursome. We had...the chicken bao buns and lamb ribs to start, we both had the beef short rib for mains then chocolate parfait and chocolate fondant for dessert. All delicious. Amazing food and spectacular views. Service was excellent. Highly recommend!!More

We've had an amazing evening and a great meal at Kanuka. The chairs are the most comfortable we've sat in (restaurant-wise) and the view was amazing, even though it was pouring with rain. Our waitress Keisha was super friendly and had impeccable timing with her...service. We started of with two cocktails and bread + dips and had the goat curry and grilled chicken and veggies for mains. It all tasted amazing and the plates were made up beautifully. We couldn't resist the dessert menu and decided on the chocolate parfait and afogato, again a delight for the mouth. We will defenitely be back!More

I’ve been for the second time in the restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, stunning view over Shotover river and valley, friendly staff and affordable menu. Nestled in the Nugget Point Hotel at Arthurs Point in Queenstown, this one of a kind international cuisine in Queenstown has it...all. Although it’s known for its several vegan options, I definitely wanted to delight myself in the mouthwatering ribeye on a peppercorn sauce, served with soubis purée (a caramelized onion purée), served along with confit potatoes and seasonal baby vegetables. But beforehand we had some sort of a “made specially by the chef to us” platter combined with smoked salmon sausage, phenomenal pork jerky and a crunchy pumpkin bread, along with a few gherkins, beetroot purée and a homemade mint sauce. All these flavors served in two dishes! What an experience! What a place to be very often. Highly recommend as it definitely runs off of that sameness Queenstown menu. Congratulations Kanuka! Hats off and two thumbs up for this unforgettable food experience!More

Hidden Gem in Queenstown, definitely! This is THE place. Amazing view, very friendly service, comfy and charming place and a DELICIOUS food! OMG! This is a “must try” in Queenstown! The Menu have options for everyone. We had a platter as starter, Ribeye with a...soubise puree (perfect match) and I picked the blue cheese sauce. For dessert I had the mouthwatering dark chocolate fondant. Thank you Kanuka for this unforgettable dinner!More

We had a great time in Kanuka Kitchen&Bar! Were super early so we are the first guests to enjoy dinner so it’s like the whole place made private for us. This semi Victorian interior style restaurant offers a cozy experience and prep you to dinner...through a lounge with interesting stuff. Dinner experience was amazing, we had a selection of their “From the Grill” specialty partnered with a good wine... all these topped with a spectacular view of the mountain and Shotover river. Overall experience wouldn’t be great without the nice and accommodating staff of Kanuka. Will definitely be back.More
