This little brewery tucked away on the outskirts of Queenstown had the best IPA. Iggy Hop was my favourite. We had an added bonus, they had Sanga meat pies on the menu. The service was excellent as well.

Popped in to sample a paddle Beer was cold on a hot day and very tasty, staff friendly and informative

I was really surprised to see these guys had about 20 taps of different beers available. The service was great as the staff let us try several different beers before deciding on one. All the beers we tried were really good, but the peanut butter...and jelly porter was the winner, it was awesome! During the time we were there, we had brief chats with the head brewer and the owner, who were nice enough to stop what they were doing and have a bit of a chat and a laugh. Overall we walked away with having had a really great experience and will definitely be back next time we’re in QueenstownMore

I came with friend to have a god time. And we were tasting different beer. Very nice beer, I recommend. And we were lucky to have a concert. It's was a very nice time with a good ambiance and some good beer.

What a gem! Worth the short trip out of town. Once you’ve found this locals spot you’ll go there all the time. Selection of craft beers, ciders and more are awesome and food is top notch. Try the tacos. So gooood.

This place is awesome and well deserving of the great reviews. Relaxed atmosphere accompanied by wonderful beers, what more could you ask for? Didn’t sample the food, but heard the next table dishing out compliments. The staff are also super friendly and knowledgeable. Wishing these...guys all the best in the future and can’t wait to see their beers in our local Wellington supermarket!More

We’ve been here several times now and the beer is excellent with a good selection, and the food is delicious too. Searchlight is worth the visit!

They serve amazing beer, really good food and provide a lovely atmosphere! We have been here in winter and in summer and loved both, highly recommend!

This hidden gem was amazing!! Not only was the beer good, the chicken tacos tasted delicious and were made well ❤️ loved the place overall. Thanks team !! We'll definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends and family !

Us, a comradery of 4, decided to go for dinner, one promising wednesday evening. Arriving at 5, we sat half sun, half shade on the outside area, fake grassed and plants all around. Not what one might expect given the geographical location of the venue....We had 3 rounds of food, the first included the deep fried pickles, both the poh-ta-toe skins (one is called majestic, and let me tell you, it is.) They're a better version of loaded wedges. The fourth was the haloumi with pita bread, and last but not least, the mussels with a chilli sauce. Needless to say, after finishing this round, we were eager to try more, not because it wasn't enough, but because we wanted to try more. After cleansing our pallet with a nice, home-brewed beer, round 2: 3x chicken tacos, chicken wrap and the veggie dumplings. Ab-so-lutely stunning! It was all delicious, but the dumplings were divine. The soy aioli sauce complements the dumplings in a supreme way. So good, that round 3 we had the pickles and dumplings again! (I know, we're big eaters.) Bobby (Bobbie..? I'm not sure how to spell her name) was very nice and helpful behind the bar and Zack is a master in the kitchen! 10/10 will recommend to friends and family! Ps picture below shows dumplings and friend in round 3.More

Yummo! Great selection and variety and it was all so good!!! I had a tasting paddle then got on the pints. There’s also a great snack menu and cool outdoor patio

A great little brewery just outside of Queenstown in an industrial area. A big selection taps available in a pretty cool environment.

Searchlight is one of a few local breweries in QT and a short walk from city centre. Wife got moody after walking 1 km but later recanted was so well worth it. Sampled their brews, all very good especially their saison and blonde but IPA...also excellent as were the veggie empanadas. Beat wife at battleship and then won second game by default because she cheated (seriously!). Good to walk a bit after having too many jelly beans at the top of gondola and the walk back was not bad to work off even more extra calories.More

In Queenstown, my other half booked some outdoor activities while I set out to visit a brewery. In Queenstown proper, a large tourist area, there are only two one of which was closed. That brought me to Searchlight Brewery, and I'm happy it did! This...was a bit too far to walk, so I used a ride-share. It's located north of the town in an industrial area. Tucked behind some buildings, you'll easily find it with the posted signs. The area is kept really cozy. Outside they have seating areas that look over the mountains and forests all around. It was a bit too cold during my visit, so I headed inside. They had a fire pit, many small tables, games, and the bar. The majority of the space is taken up by the working brewery. The beers are posted behind the bar and on the tap handles. I told the bartender I was there to try them all and she helped me organize my flights. I sat at a nice table looking outside to the top of the mountain. I indulged in two soft pretzels to ease my tasting; water is also available. I was also happy for the free wifi while being parked there a while. As it got darker, the twinkle lights over the outdoor seating area turned on. I did try all the beers; it wasn't expensive. I liked the focus on New Zealand hops and styles, while having a great selection for all. If you're a beer lover, it's worth the journey.More

Stopped by this place after a day on the mountain, and was blown away. The beer choice here is huge, and 90% are all brewed on site! Absolute credit to the owner/brewmaster, we had multiple paddles trying a variety of beers, and they were delicious....Also - the garlic bread is absolute sweetie !! Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the little garden setup is an awesome place to chill. Definitely will stop by again next time we're in QT. Highly recommended !More
