Was really pleasantly surprised by this place. The setting is stunning— in a primo spot right above the canyon. And the beer and food were really good! We got Brussels sprouts and venison pizza — perfect amount of food for two — plus a couple...of the seasonal beers. Service was friendly too. Highly recommend if you are in the area.More

Accidentally found gem on our way to Coronet Peak. Stopped for the views, absolutely loved everything: amazing food (tried lamb skewers, pizza, chicken, & sides), lovely staff who were very welcoming & professional. Clean facilities.

We stopped here for a quick drink before our Shotover jet ride. Clem, behind the bar, was so helpful in letting us taste the numerous drinks on offer before deciding. Once our jet boat ride had finished, we went back here for the most delicious...lunch. Clem served us again and was an incredibly welcoming and attentive waiter. The atmosphere was so cosy by the fire and the venison pizza and shoestring fries were some of the best we’ve ever eaten. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown as it is only a short ride up the road.More

Booked via first table and went with a couple friends. We ordered pizzas, Smokey carrots, lamb skewers, focaccia and fried chicken - all food was super delicious. Service was amazing, staff very friendly and checked in on us throughout the meal. 10/10 would recommend and...we’ll be back! 😃More

Our host was friendly and helpful and we couldn’t fault the kai. We had dinner of edamame, Smokey carrots, lamb skewers, fries and mussels. Everything was delicious. Will return next time for lunch so we can sit outside in the sun. Beautiful spot.

Take your big spray and ignore the rudest staff. We went here after jet boating ( which was amazing ) and thought we’d grab a drink and a bite to eat in the bean bags. 2 lamb skewers were $22 yes $22 . I don’t...mind paying that if staff are exceptional but here don’t even expect a hello. The staff were the rudest we have come across in Queenstown, like it was a total bother for us to order food and drink. Don’t ask for water they literally throw the bottle at you. Bean bags are great to sit on and the view is amazing but bring bug spray we were eaten alive. I don’t often if rarely write a negative view but the only good thing about this place is the view - which you can still get for free!More

We recently took American business partners to Canyon Brewing after a great morning on the shot over jet. They charge $30 for 1/2 dozen battered. They are not whole oysters! They were chopped into quarters.

We really enjoyed this brewery and went here twice in our very short stay in Queenstown. The pizza is delicious and we did the beer flight. Our favorite was vacation. The first time we went we sat outside as the weather was sunny and beautiful....We found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. We even bought a t-shirt here. Highly recommend.More

We were staying nearby and so this was an ideal restaurant to pick for an early evening meal. We sat outside and had pizza and salad which was very nice. A nice setting too - alongside the shotgun river and huge bridge.

We popped into Canyon Brewing after a recommendation from Clem at the Gin Bar in Arrowtown for a light lunch. The recommendation was spot-on and we had a great lunch overlooking the Shotover Canyon and their jet boats. The pizza was particularly nice - fantastic...base and very tasty, the lamb and chicken skewers also went down a treat. Good refreshment options on offer from their own and usual brands. The young international wait staff were all terrific. Because of the location we ended up booking a jet boat ride with Shotover for a couple of days later. As we were returning for the Jet boat trip, couldn't pass on the chance of hitting CB for a second time and equally enjoyable. Great little venue and fantastic location - recommended.More

Located above the Shotover Jet pier, in a great riverside spot, Canyon makes for enticing visit in several ways. The beer garden is large with a range of comfortable seating. Inside, the spacious interior is strikingly bright and airy. The brewery slogan is 'beer for...the bold' and the range lives up to the claim, particularly the 2 Stroke Double IPA! The food menu offers an interesting range well beyond the usual pizza and burgers and caters well for vegetarians. Our only gripe was with the table service, which was rather haphazard, but it didn't really detract from a great family lunchtime.More
