What should be a iconic restaurant in Milford is a poorly run cafe that serves very expensive prepackaged food, all on paper plates and disposible cups. This cafe is underwhelming to say the least and its disappointing that its the only cafe option within Milford Sound

very few dining choices in milford sound. i ordered some coffee here before our cruise and it was good, and not too horribly priced. I did not eat but the limited menu seemed attractive and not overly expensive, especially considering the remoteness of the location

This gem of a place sitting in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I recommend you get a take out before you do the boat trip into the sound. The food is way better than on the ship and cheaper.

Only place in the neighborhood where you can drink and/or eat something. Not a very nice place but okay.

Toilets were dirty. Cafe had hardly any food choices and was extremely expensive. Seeing as so many tourists come through here, they could make more of an effort. Especially for those travelling through on a wet day. I would suggest packing your own lunch and not stopping at this cafe.

After coming off the Milford Track after 3 days of wet wet windy damp cold weather.... what do we want most of all.... Yes, a hot shower but also a hot coffee or a cold wine (in celebration) and some hearty food. The Blue Duck delivered it all. The food was sensational, the pies filling, the sandwiches fresh, the wine... More

it's the only cafe in Milford aside of Milford Lodge. they sell ready made sandwiches for $7, which are absolutely disgusting (couldn't eat it) and pizzas, which are ok, but also too expensive

Looked at menu and thankfully said to my wife that we brought our own food for lunch. coffee at NZD 6? Are you kidding? Even if I didn't have any food with me on the drive, I would've waited till I got back to Queenstown or the next gas station o stop where there would be food. Cruise itself was... More

Went in there to warm up with a cup of tea. Very bad and extremely unfriendly service and rip off prices! Only place for something to eat and drink - a bad look on NZ tourism though. Will take my gas cooker next time and make my own brew :-)

Visiting Milford is an incredible jaw dropping experience and I'm sure like me it makes every kiwi proud to call NZ home. And likewise as I travel around NZ there is a quality of hospitality that reinforces our reputation of being friendly people. Sadly right in Milford at our most iconic tourist spot there is a cafe that is an... More
