Literally still sitting here and I couldn't wait to write a review. Fairly busy Friday night, hasn't made a booking, was hoping for the best, got a great table outside, heating is ample! Starting with the chicken kebabs and the ribs and knew from the start the kitchen staff know what they're doing. Ordered lamb Wellington, 1 kilo of mussels... More

Great food and awesome staff - wish I'd gotten names (but thanks for teaching my husband how to use the cutlery!)

From the moment we arrived the service was great. Our waitress, Kylie, was one of the best I have ever come across. She knew about the food, she was unfailingly cheerful, and struck exactly the right note when checking how our meal was - friendly and interested, but not pushy or staying at the table to long. The mussels and... More

Absolutely excellent! The sauce was a perfect hollandaise, very creamy and I like the tartness of the fresh lemon

A good option for lunch, dinner or a couple of beers with family and friends. Outdoor seating is available, but the inside is more spacious. A couple of good starters and an excellent choice of mains, deserts change frequently and are moderately priced. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

Meal with overseas visitors we ventured to the kiln for ease of travel. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our waitress was exceptional. Meals were cooked to individual requirements. Garnishing with steak is done by selection & possible could have (3) selections rather than (2) ie potatoe - greens - mushrooms etc. Desert was exquisite, big problem is couldn't eat... More

We had a lovely meal out last night at the Kiln. I had the blue cod for a main which was absolutely delicious. The sauce was devine. Then we were amazed with half priced desserts, couldn't get much better than that. Chocolate overload, happiness filled.

The mains were great for the whole family, we did not have a starter and portions that we had was large enough, Our waitress (Carla I think) was really nice and checked to make sure we was all good for drinks and that the food was ok. They had a 1/2 price sunday pudding special, well worth getting the pudding... More

This is a great bar with a warm gas fire and also outdoor fires. Great music on weekends. Amazing blue cod meals and very scrumptious half priced desserts Sundays and Mondays.

Our group of 6 arrived around 130pm Sunday for a post Oyster Festival brunch. We received a friendly, enthusiastic but mindful (of our quiet demeanours) reception. Our needs were well catered for in a really calm environment, soothing to our collectively recovering tummies and heads. My chilli mussels were tasty and the seafood chowders I witnessed, chunky and creamy. The... More
