Winter is my favourite time to visit Buster Crabb's although I guess many would say that Invercargill has more cooler months than most other destinations so anytime March - November is fine. The open fire in the bar area studded with leather loungers is inviting after a hard days work and the service is very warm and welcoming as well.... More

I particularly enjoy Buster Crabb's cosy wine bar and great wine selection. Fabulous place to enjoy a glass of wine and a good chat. On a Friday evening you will find a lovely plate of complimentary nibbles just appears on your table. Great decor, great service, great buzz.

Highly recommend the coffee at Buster Crabb, it is simply the best, and made by really friendly staff. The ambiance is great, and I love the fire, and it is a lovely place to relax with a drink. The recent refurbishments are excellent and make the place really homely. The only thing frustrating is the inconsistency of the food quality... More

My parents Laura and Walton , came for what was the last of this season's oysters for there lunch. They received a very warming welcome on arrival. The request for oysters and a piece of blue cod on each meal was not a problem and asked for a soft red pinot noir as in not knowing much about the wine... More

From the moment you walk into this historic building you know you're in for a treat. The extensive wine and beverage list is any craft beer/vino experts dream! In regards to food - you will never leave hungry. Meals scream 'Southern Hospitality' in size however more refined than you would find elsewhere in this city. Staff are always friendly but... More

Lovely Southland blue cod. Generous helping. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable sized restaurant but how it is set up makes it quite private for each table.

We have a lovely warm and inviting restaurant. We use all locally sourced product with very generous servings with an emphasis on the meat portion of the meal. Our steaks are 250gms up to the "Donald Trump Choker", which is 500gm and cooked slowly over 20 hours. We use fresh Blue Cod and locally caught wild Venison. Buster Crabb is the best choice
