I really can't fault Plato. Sure it's not on the high street (which meant that the clientelle were far more interesting and varied than the usual coach load tourist brigade) but worth the short walk over to the harbour side. Rather than being embarrassed by...More

They do everything so well here. Wait staff is great, service fantastic, food so good. If it's one of those days when you don't want to take risk with ur food, this is the place to go.

While providing a choice of the day's catch alongside a choice of the method of preparation seafood is not the only thing they do well. We keep going back and love it. The decor could do with a refresh but is certainly quirky.

For something different, try Plato. From the outside it looks a little unusual, then once you go inside it looks even more unusual. But the quirky surrounds make the place feel relaxed and the staff are exceptionally friendly, happy, helpful and efficient. The food is...More

The food is really top class and Katrin is a great chef. The culinary journey was truly fantastic. Not quite my taste aesthetically and a little drafty would be the only small negatives. Will go back again soon.

Visited this restaurant with a few colleagues. We drove from the city (10 min drive) and struggled to find it as there are no big signs or obvious restaurant locations....this was no issue once you do locate it as the quirky decor (lots of old...More
