This is pub-style food, but with a menu varied enough to suit the palates of teenagers through middle agers through older visitors. Great burgers and chips - the beef burger was the winner on the day. But equally well made Caesar salads. And a pretty decent range of wines. We thought the service was efficient and friendly. No complaints here.

The burgers are delicious. There is a good menu with a bit of diversity. I think the dessert menu needs to be added to but overall I am happy with my dining experiences at Salt. I have to say the fish is delish too. I have tried the peanut butter cheesecake and it is very rich and gorgeous - and... More

Came here for lunch and had burgers. The chips were nice and crispy on the outside and soft inside. The beef burger was delicious - the tomato relish and cheese were especially tasty. Only thing is the burgers can be a bit tall and messy, so something to think about if that bothers you.

The staff serving us worked very hard. The menu is a mixture of 'burgers' ( we had the chicken and the fish, and these were fillets of chicken and fish not actual patty style burgers) and other pub staples. The flatbread in the flatbread, olive and dips starter was lovely, the burgers were reasonably good - not spectacular- but nice... More

Lunch at Salt at St Clair today was awesome! Lovely location, delicious food, great price, great service. I had the pulled pork burger which was so tasty. Would definitely recommend. Will be back.

A simple review. We had the coffee, hot choc and fries. The coffee and hot choc was average for the price. We specified no salt for the fries and got given what looks like extra salt? It was a simple order executed poorly. I won't be going back.

Great location to have lunch or brunch in St. Clair. Great views from the Esplanade. Can sit outside or in. Good coffee.

Good service - they put two tables together for our group. It was lovely and warm on a freezing day. We had the mushrooms and the pumpkin salad. The pumpkin salad was nice, but a little one note. Points off for lack of free range bacon and chicken.

The bar is exactly the kind of place that we would love to spend a rainy afternoon in. Its a cosy and welcoming pub in a beautiful part of Dunedin. We tried the pork belly and a burger with hand cut fries. All very tasty and the fries were excellent. With drinks the total cost was $68 for 2 adults.... More

I had a spare hour so decided to go visit and have a coffee and cheese rolls. They were yummy and could have stayed at while longer. The staff were very welcoming also.
