It took an hour and a half for the main meal to arrive ... the restaurant was much busier than I can recall from other visits ... the length of wait was acknowledged with apologies and then with a complimentary drink ... the main courses when they arrived were "yum". This is Indian at its authentic best.

We have been there Delore a while ago. Went last night, warm welcome, warm building, good ambience. Beautiful food, nice mix of flavours, well presented, and service with a smile. I know we expect that but it doesn't always happen

Have been to maharaja a good few times at this stage and have tried most things on the menu! I have never been let down by a dish! In my opinion it's the best authentic Indian Christchurch has to offer. It's set in a nice old villa which gives a homely feel while your eating. The staff are friendly and... More

This restaurant is in the entertainment book. The banquet is awesome value for money, you get a selection of starters to share, a Curry for your main, Naan bread and a dessert all for $40, and the food, atmosphere and service is fabulous. Its well worth a visit and i will definitely be back for more.

Ordered 4 different curry 's 1 was even worse than the other 3 which were KAK. Believe me when i say that I do know curries and I am prepared to give any curry house a chance. This place thinks that by having a nice villa in merivale it can cook a curry, total bollocks. If you want a close... More
