Lovely environment and outstanding service. We all liked the wine the waiter recommended! Honestly not very impressed with the food... the soup was too salty, the dessert is too 'ordinary'... overall it was a good dinner for family gathering, but I expected a bit more.

My wife and I had an anniversary dinner here again. This time we choice the surprise 8 course degustation menu with paired wines. The food was amazing and the presentation of each course exquisite. The wines were all sublime and went perfectly with each course. This was the best meal I have ever had. I will be back again as... More

To celebrate my birthday we booked in for the 8-course degustation and we were all pleasantly surprised to the high standard of food we were served. From the first course (french onion soup) to the eighth course (cheese platter) we all experienced a sensational taste journey so compliments to the chefs. I only complaint we had was we never felt... More

This is my third visit to this amazing French Restaurant in the last four months and when I come back to Nz in August it will be my fourth. This is Christchurch's best kept secret. YOU NEED TO GO.

Our return trip was equally as good as our first. The warm greetings as you arrive set the tone.Knowledgeable staff helped us select amazing wines to go with our meal choices and the food was superb. Our group had a variety of choices over all three courses and praise was high for all. My duck a l'orange was delicious. There... More

St Germain have fantastic food and lovely staff. The only thing that lets it down is the tired decor. Overall though, a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Although the restaurant could do with modernising the meal the main point was superb and the service great

Small group of 5, had the 5 course degustation with wine. The maite d did a very good job of getting any special requirements and it is testamount to the chefs skill that they can work around that. The courses were well portioned, explained by the wait staff and accompanied by a good match French wine. Timing was just right... More

I'd heard that the food was excellent at St Germain and I wasn't disappointed. I had worried that it would serve tiny portions but the meals were perfectly portioned. The whole meal was superb and we enjoyed the intimate dining experience. Great staff and a lovely atmosphere.
