Stopped here for a snack lunch, didn't need to eat that night! The other half had the squid which he enjoyed & as they didn't have my first choice I went for the lamb koftas & so pleased I did as they were just delicious, also had some wedges which were also good. The welcome wasn't the warmest but the... More

Cobar is a family favourite. We have been there for impromptu dinners-the spur of the moment decision"let's have a treat" or more structured occasions like birthdays. Cobar has NEVER disappointed. The food, ambiance, harbour vows and superb (yet unobtrusive) service is a constant magnet that draws us back: time and time again. Bravo.

It was a glorious sunny day in Wellington and decided to visit Days Bay and have lunch. On arrival at lunch time, we were told that we were too late to order a full meal, but could select and entree and certain sections of the menu. We were happy with that, as we weren't hungry and just wanted to sit... More

I celebrated. Significant birthday here with 7 friends and family, it was a very memorable lunch re was no pressure to leave, fantastic view and sun pouring in the window made it even harder to leave. Thank you to the vey helpful staff.

We celebrated a family birthday there and our grandchildren attended as well. Although the food was great, the service was poor. The children's menu card included entree, mains and dessert for a fixed price. We ordered the choice of mains including the ones for the children. After 40 minutes of waiting we enquired about the entree for the children and... More

The food is average at best, asked for Sausages well done to be presented with them so uncooked they could practically oink at you and eat the mashed potato slurry underneath. Burger was average, and jeez, can the staff just smile maybe at least once. The view and setting is fantastic though but not sure that;s enough to return again.... More

Located directly across the bay from the city centre this is a lovely spot. Bit of a drive if you are in the city but fine for us as we were staying nearby. it was very busy on a Saturday night and the tables are a bit squashed together - not good for privacy or ease of service. Wine and... More

Following recommendations we booked a table for lunch in this restaurant as a last meal with family before heading back to the UK. The food was really good but our celebration was spoilt by a very poor service caused by a clear lack of staff on duty. Our table was booked for 1pm and it was just before 3pm that... More

This is actually our local restaurant and convenience is one factor in our always going here. However we wouldn't go if it wasn't good as it is a wee bit pricey. The food is amazeballs! AM loving the Tuesday night BYO as it brings the price down to be able to go more often and use our local.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal with a view of the water, flawless service and spectacular wine. Very reasonable price for a high quality meal. Deserves to be better known!
