There's nothing sharp, challenging or confronting here - the white table cloths, sparkling glassware and friendly staff offer a warm welcome on a cold Wellie night. The bar is well stocked, the wine list well collated, and the menu offers all the old favourites (steak, fish etc) and a few new flavours. If you're looking for cutting edge cuisine I'd... More

Cosy, friendly atmosphere. Very attentive staff. We had the lamb Sunday roast which came with a glass of perfectly matched wine and a delicious sponge pudding.

Really enjoyed our dinner at this lively place! It's a cute cottage, right in town and gets busy so book a table. Menu is extensive and full of local options. Staff are helpful and knowledgable.

Went as a couple, no booking on a Saturday night. Maitre D couldn't have been more professional. I was unable to go upstairs (recent knee surgery) and he fitted us in on a ground floor table. This is a busy restaurant, and we were so well looked after by everyone from the bar staff at the start right through the... More

A very traditional and quaint well established restaurant which I have wanted to visit for some time. We were here for a birthday on a Monday night, but the restaurant was full. The drinks menu is comprehensive and well stocked with New Zealand and Australian wines. The menu covered the bases well and the onion soup to start was excellent.... More

It was our final night in Wellington and we had been told about the bistro. We weren't disappointed. Service was delightful and attentive without being intrusive. Our meals were all perfectly cooked and the chef easily accommodated dietary requests. One of us had dessert which was yum. We were wearing our travelling clothes ( jeans and jackets) but felt at... Dinner on Monday evening to celebrate a birthday was all you could ask for. The Tattinger at half price because it was Monday was a good start. We shared two starters between three, they were outstanding as were the mains with a range of dairy free options for one of our party. Shared desert which was also delicious and the... More

Amazing have gone back twice just for the soup. My girlfriend got a different entree but asked to swap halfway through.
