I just finished a relaxing and wonderful lunch at Boulcott Street Bistro in central Wellington. This was a business lunch for five and was perfect for such an occasion. The food was great. I had the whitebait which was incredible. Our service was perfect and they managed the right combination of attentiveness for a business lunch. The building is an... More

This is our first visit here and it was delightful You pay for it but it's the old adage you get what you pay for. The food was top notch, the pick was the lamb shank which unfortunately wasn't mine but I managed to have a try I had the aged beef, on the small side but cooked to perfection... More

Had a wonderful night here with my wife recently. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and cosy sat amongst all the high rises. I thought the food was very impressive but even better was the service - attentive but not invasive, friendly and genuine. Highly recommend a visit for dinner and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to... More

We have often been to this restaurant which is in one of the pldest Wellington cottages, restored and brought to the site.. There are no surprises. with trespect to the food, always above average and without the very high prices of some of its competitors. Booking essential. Intimate atmosphete.

We booked the special pre-WOW dinner and were so glad we did! The bistro is tucked away up on Boulcott St in an amazing villa with turrets and odd little windows. Atmosphere was buzzing with WOW diners, very busy but the staff were so efficient and helpful. We didn't feel at all rushed, the food was excellent and the petit... More

So I had pre booked dinner at this lovely restaurant after checking it out on TripAdvisor. Always busy in Wellington while WOW is on. We had the special WOW menu which was perfect. The calamari was delicious and the main snapper with chowder was also fantastic accompanied by a glass of a great Pinot Gris. The petit fours to take... More

Was here for a work do. Beer was great, wine was great, service was great and the beef wellington and wine match for the wellington on a plate festival was stunning. Will go back again with family when I return to welly. One of the restaurants best in the city and in wellington that's saying something. Only shame is that... More

Set in a lovely Villa this classic bistro is definitely worth a visit. Our food was delicious and there were several options I could have ordered. You can't book but we didn't wait long and enjoyed a lovely cocktail at the bar. It was a little rowdy the night we went but with lots of festive WOW guests that was... More

Boulcott Street Bistro (or BSB as they refer to it on the menu) had been a regular haunt for politicians, suits, and the well heeled for decades, but it's now enjoyed by the hoi poloi as well! Set in a beautiful heritage cottage, you can't book but can drink at the bar while you wait - and it's worth it.... More
