Well the coffee was pretty good but that'd be it. We had a apricot pastry tart & tiramisu. The tart was bland and plastic tasting & the tiramisu tasted so fake and artificial we had a mouthful each & no more. Horrid. There were no serviettes & no cutlery available. We asked for two cake forks & were given after... More

We don't often have time to stop here but when we do it does not disappoint. The coffee is good and the cakes are out of this world. Not enough meat in their pies though.

Working nearby for many years I've finally decided to explain why I'm an infrequent visitor and prefer to walk by to iRide (who make great coffee). The first average is for service which can often be surly and while not all staff are like this there's often this vibe, particularly if you interrupt them while they stock the shelves first... We had lunch here the food is delicous but because of its popularity you can wait a long time for your drinks, we waited 25 minutes! They could really do with extra staff during there lunch times.

Bordeaux has always been a special place to go for me but the Thorndon one needs a bit of a spruce up! It just felt old, dated and dirty. My cake was delicious but my flavourless soggy salmon quiche was not so great. I just feel like standards have slipped as something has definitely changed.

I sometimes go to Bordeaux bakery on Sunday for some brunch or even just for desserts. I always like bordeaux because the crepes are delicious and also the Duchesse cake that I almost order very time I go because they are delicious I recommend this cake.If you are more a savoury person I recommend the chicken pie because it has... The crepes here are to die for. Don't even think of anything else. They transport me back to being eight and that is a long journey. Actually the bread is good and the coffee is fine. So why the reservations - they do seem sometimes to struggle with anything more challenging. Maybe I am being harsh and I will certainly... More

1st of December My wife and her friend visited the restaurant for casual after lunch desert. We have ordered chocolate cake, strawberry tart, Americano and flat white. Pretty much most of dishes were as person would expect from normal restaurants and cafes but we were utterly frustrated with chocolate cake. As shown in the photo, damn restaurant was selling expired... More

Had a lovely lamb & kumara pie served nicely with fresh salad. Followed by heavenly fresh flavoured lemon tart. Not to sweet with just the right bite, lemon heaven. All served by a delightful young lady! We will be back!!!!

We came here with my partner's mother for lunch and will not be returning despite having been frequent customers in the past. My partner and I ordered the eggs with ham and croissant and her mother the corn fritters. The eggs were nice and the croissant was okay but a little over cooked and the ham was cheap, processed and... More
