At Wednesday you can eat an awesome Steak plate with garlic mushroom sauce or other 2 one at the wonderful price of 7 NZD. With a glass of wine the night begin better. Absolutely recommended.

We just went for drinks and I found it so difficult to choose one - as they just had so many goodies. Love the retro decor and the service was good. Would love to back and try the food.

At jazz night there was a good atmosphere, lots of applause, funny toilet and prices were alright. 100 letters must be full

Nice little bar for a drink it's away from the hustle and bustle of the main bar scene. Cool interior and great vintage atmosphere. Good selection of New Zealand craft beers particular from the local Garage Project which is a must try.

There's nothing fancy about this place; it's a bar with a distinctly eclectic retro theme, and no waiters to take your order, but if you go on a Wednesday night and order a steak you'll get the best meal you've ever had in a first world country for under $10. The steak isn't huge and was a tad under temperature... More

Hidden away in an enclave between Victoria Street and Willis Street,Meow is an interesting place filled with an eclectic mix of retro memorabilia. Although we didn't eat there, the wine list was good and they have a hand pulled beer pump which pleased himself.

Last night my partner enjoyed seeing two bands here last night. We didn't have dinner here, but enjoyed some drinks. This place is well patronized by hipsters, however, don't let that put you off. The atmosphere is really fun and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff were friendly and not too cool for school. The staff were especially... More

A great place to reminisce about the 50s, 60s and 70s, the old style telephones, stereos and tvs. Simple but lovely food, lunch and dinner. They also have bands playing at night.
